Robert would’ve killed Jon because he’s a Targaryen. Prince Rhaegar Targaryen “stole” Lyanna Stark, Robert swore to kill every Targaryen because from he’s perspective they killed the woman he loved.

IMO Jamie is the most complex and BEST character in GOT. First you don't like him, then you hate him, then you feel sorry for him, and then you love him so much you hope he doesn't die. If any ONE character could explain why the GOT series is as good as it is it would be Jamie.😎😎😎

Don't forget Asia repeatedly calling Jon , Robb. They're both so likeable.....but listening to them call Bran, Bronn drives me crazy. People have been telling them since Season 7 but it never stuck. Playing Devil's Advocate for a minute, there are so many names, houses and places. Plus they're recording a reaction so their focus isn't 100% . It's irritating but forgivable.

"It's all downhill from here" is actually a saying that means "it's about to get easier." think about it, uphill is way harder. But I always use it the wrong way so I don't blame anyone for saying it incorrectly as well.

People definitely use it in both a positive and negative way. Also, where you're from might hold sway over your personal interpretation. It does make sense that " downhill" means the hard work is over and things will now be easier. But those of us who use it in a "negative" way (myself included) associate climbing uphill to a peak or your personal peak in life. It's hard work and challenging but we're constantly striving to be on top. So, to us, the opposite, which is downhill means that your rise, or your peak is over and you're leaving that challenge unsuccessful, or a loser (winners remain on top and they do everything possible to stay there. They don't want to "head downhill). We also associate "downhill" with the saying "It all went south from there" which also has a negative connotation. So, it makes sense that a lot of us associate going south and going down hill as a failure. *Sorry, I don't mean to come off as a "Know it-all" . I was an English major and I love these types of discussions.

Jaime has a great character transformation, but I think Theon's is better. He was a prick in the beginning, betrayed Rob, took over Winterfell, then became a shell of himself courtesy of Ramsay, then saved Sansa which started his redemption. I can't wait to watch episode 3 with you guys!

everyone forgot Theon was a really good marksman with a bow and good warrior. Being at Winterfell under Ned Stark, Theon honed his skills. and its such a dichotomy of saving the world with politics interfering.

Also that Theon was the one the who shot the wildling with the knife to Bran's throat, in season 1. Robb got mad at him, but Theon saved him then and wanted to protect him in the end. Well, he did owe him for taking Winterfell and all.

Targaryen - and we’ve always had Purple eyes. 😉 Fun fact: Aegon V, (Aegon the Unlikely) had four kids: Duncan, Jaehaerys II, an unknown who probably died as a child, and Rhaelle. Jaehaerys II married his sister Rhaelle Rhaelle was also mother to Steffon Baratheon who was father of Robert, Stannis and Renley Baratheon; Grandmother to Robert. Rhaelle married her uncle Aerys II (Mad King) and gave birth to Raegar, Viserys and Daenerys. So they are all kissing cousins related; brothers and sisters, uncles and nieces, aunts and nephews.

Sam doesn’t go home because his father thinks he’s a coward and disowned him to the Night’s Watch. He found his calling in a library amongst books, where he was the most helpful that he could be, knowing winter was coming.

Thanks for the reaction. We're getting close to the end. I'm really curious how you will enjoy it. I didn't read the books (yet) - and there possibly will never be the complete saga. GRR Martin won't finish it. The valley with Daenerys and Jon flying their Dragons was shot in Iceland in the Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon. A magical spot. Worth visiting. Always felt bad for Sam here, finding out about his brothers and fathers fate. But I don't like much how the handled "Bronn" in Season 8 (and to some parts season 7). Imo, in many scenes in season 8 he just is acting against the character he was in the past 6-7 seasons - even more ruthless, cold-hearted. Before he had some heart in his core. But that's a writers/directors problem and not the actors (Jerome Flynn is great...and an amazing singer btw).

There are some wiiiild character arcs in this show. Jaime is certainly one of them. Theon is also a real roller coaster... Sandor Clegane, the Hound, also has had quite the journey. The crypt... Think about it, someone is coming over who can raise the dead to fight for him. The crypt may not be the safest place in Winterfell.

I am FEELING coming to the end of this journey with you... Almost started to literally cry at the beginning, realizing this little adventure is coming to an end. It's been years since I've seen GoT (though I had a later start, than many), and having this refresh has been truly wonderful. I'm very picky about my shows. People talk a lot about Jamie's character transforming and I just don't see that. We only see one side of Jamie early on, then they let us in in more of his inner turmoil as we go along. Jamie hasn't changed, we have because we understand him more. Jamie was always a guy who respected honor and wished his circumstances were different in that regard, but 8 seasons in that guy would still push a kid out of a window.

Technically, Sam forfeited over his rights to claim the Tarley name, lands, and titles. He was the oldest and his brother was younger. So when Sam took the black, oath of the night's watch, he gave all that up. He also was sent to the Citadel to become the new night's watch Maestor. Maestor's also forfeit their titles, lands, and family names...and serve other houses. So Sam actually got the "double whammy" of not being able to claim his family's lordship. So most likely his mother would take over as Lady of Horn Hill. Another lord would most likely try to marry her to gain more lands and wealth. And if she did remarry and did not have a son to be heir, then Sam's sister would be next in line and again some lord would try to marry her as well. If her family hasn't already made a deal to marry her to someone already.

When you love the show and have become invested in the story and the characters, the reunion show is a great way to wrap it up..some behind the scenes stories and other things.
