You were scared, I had my first crush 😂 idk I saw him as more of adorable and innocent. I can understand where you're coming from bc I saw this comment then asked my boyfriend of 14 years if the contrast was weird... then said "I did have a Gothic phase in highschool, guess that makes sense" 😂😂😂😂 (I also love messy bed head, rocked the look for most of my 20s, just not Gothic, went more hippy.)

my favorite paralell in this movie that shows the true, vile nature of the town's people probably is how at first that old guy at the barbecue was like ''don't ever let someone tell you you are disabled'' seemingly relating to Edward because old man himself probably went through similar things but then toward the end of the movie the old guy is seen again, calling Edward a cripple.

I think Johnny Depp approached the character like a cross between a baby and a dog. When he saves Kevin, the reason he stays on him is to make sure Kevin's ok/because he's worried for him and also waiting for a sign of approval, that he did something good. It could also be that he's afraid for Kevin and is panicked about the situation. Your reaction to this was great! And I didn't know the mom from the Jump Street movies was in this. Yay!

Depp was also high during filming, which probably helped Edward look so confused and lost.

This is my sister's favorite movie! This and The Nightmare Before Christmas. This was also Vincent Price's last film as an actor. He passed away in 1993 at age 82. Tim Burton said that it was a thill to work with a horror movie legend as he grew up watching all his films. Before Johnny Depp played the title character, Tom Hanks, Michael Jackson and Robert Downey Jr were considered for the role. It was also nominated for Best Makeup at the 1991 Academy Awards

You guys Edward is human. She’s telling the story to her granddaughter and says the inventor gave him everything but hands before he died. And Kim fell in love with him because she realized how genuine his feelings were for her and how much of an ass Jim was. This is like a modern Frankenstein’s monster where the towns people are the actual monsters. I relate to this movie because as a disabled person ( born with a progressive degenerative eye disease so I’m legally blind) even tho my disability isn’t visible on the outside people judge you immediately once they find out.

I always enjoy your reactions and I enjoyed watching you guys react to this. I always feel emotional when Kim asks Edward to hold her and he says that he can't because he's afraid of hurting her. To feel like you will hurt someone you love without meaning to and feeling like you don't deserve them is such a human thing to feel - Johnny Depp played Edward so well.

I was going to watch it a few months ago and then I was like nope, I don't like the fact that he was living up there all alone after the inventor died, and he had no one. This was a good reaction, the way you edited it towards the end of the movie, made me think of how Disney's Beauty and the Beast ended! Great reaction as always!
