Mais quelle voix! Quelle puissance et quelle Souplesse dans les vocalises. Bon d'accord, Maria était soprano coloratur, mais il n'empêche que son interprétation est tout à fait grandiose. Tito Gobbi est quand à lui exceptionnel. Deux très grands chanteurs lyriques. Que du bonheur pour les oreilles. ❤😊❤😊❤😊.

no acostumbro recordar a estos dioses y ponerlos como parámetro. cada epoca tiene sus interpretes y todos los cantantes liricos son un poco angeles que llegan para socorrer nuestras emociones. de todos modos es imposible no tener estos registros discográficos como parámetro. La vos de Callas puede tomar el color de una briza apenas sentida en el rostro como lo hace en esta Rosina o conmocionarnos con sus notas gigantescas en Norma o Medea. Gobby ha tenido momentos fabulosos como este. Alva tiene una voz de cristal que en el rol de Almaviva hace todas las filigranas que pueden imaginarse. Un rosiniano de excelencia. En conjunto un elenco que deja a G.Rossini conforme sin lugar a duda. A veces pienso que diría el maestro si escuchara estas maravillosas performances. Una remasterización increible, parece que estuvieramos escuchando una grabación de hace pocos años.

Como fiel admirador de la Callas, no puedo estar más feliz de escucharla en esta magnífica ópera.

The last digital remastering was performed in London in 2014; I own the CD,and it's the definitve version,the original masters ,dating back to 1955 ,are dissolving....Thanks to digitalisation this recording Will remain perfect for ever as it was recorded....

La primera opera que nos hizo escuchar nuestra profesora de música en la escuela básica la Srta. Mariana San Martín cuando participaba en el coro mixto de dicho colegio (Esc. Centralizada Coeducacional de Curacautín). Siempre me ha encantado la música clásica y ésta es una de mis operas favoritas. Por el fútbol dejé de lado el asistir a clases de música que impartía nuestra profesora en los mismos horarios.

Mi regalarono gli "highlights" di questa edizione per i mieri 13 anni! L'adorai subito. Anche se all'epoca non sapevo che la Callas era, in realtà, fuori registro: erano gli anni della "Rossini Renaissance", e si cominciava ad esigere che Rosina fosse interpretata da un mezzosoprano, così come l'aveva scritta l'autore. La vera gemma di questa incisione, comunque, a me sembra TITO GOBBI: forse il più grande baritono di metà 900!

Особенно когда граф с Фигаро в начале в принципе в оркестр не попадают (друг в друга само собой), потому что то произвольно ускоряются, то произвольно замедляются 🤷‍♀️ Их бы заставить годик под один метроном попеть. Зато они все неплохо могут в скороговорку, да и дон Бартоло очень хорош. Ради Каллас, конечно, только и слушаешь. Да и дирижёр ничего.

A historical recording with an unforgetable cast (Callas, Gobbi, Alva, ...) from 1957. Although before the "archaeological" interpretations now in use, it is excellent. Callas, in line with Berganza and Horne is one of my favorite Rosinas. It is a privilege to listen and appreciate this recording !

The way Callas (in particular) and Gobbi sing the recits is incredible. They have thought out all the nuances, but manage to still keep things spontaneous. Really a masterclass. She is so good here - much better than the live broadcast. I think she really learned from what went wrong in the live performances. She’s also singing with her real voice here, whereas she seemed to want to pretend to be a coloratura soprano in the broadcast.

A beautiful performance, but badly cut. Much has been lost from the last scenes after "Il conte d'Almaviva io sono" including the aria "Ah, il piu lieto" Sad that such a beautiful performance was not presented in its entirety.
