Bazball is very entertaining. There's a new entertainer every 10 balls! India Team blasted 72 sixes vs England 29 sixes. It is fair to say that India found a way to outwit Bazball by tactical defence and tactical aggression. There was a lot of learnings for young guns and sure the Indian team will build on top of it. Can not wait for them visiting SENA.

@@arpitshivhare217 That was the weakest SA side since re-admission in 92. And they could only draw against them. And England pre-Bazball was hopeless, again drawn series. Tigers at home, but just competent abroad. Better than 90s where they used to get thrashed left, right and center. But still see the home record: 17 unbeaten series in a row. Whereas abroad, despite all the hype, nothing achieved since Australia 2020-21. Massive disparity that even a kid can recognize. Hence the right expression "Outstanding in their own conditions"

The series win added to captain Rohit Sharma's sublime record as Test skipper; he has yet to concede a series defeat, winning in five of the seven series where he has captained the side since taking over the leadership role over two years ago. The series against England presented a difficult challenge for Rohit, as he was left with an inexperienced squad - particularly among batters - for a majority of the games. With no Virat Kohli throughout the whole series and KL Rahul ruled out after the first match due to injury, Rohit had to rely on his young brigade while ensuring his own performances remained consistent. Rahul Dravid spoke in detail about Rohit Sharma's contributions with the bat after the 4-1 series win against England. India registered a sensational innings-and-64-run win over England in the fifth and final Test of the series in Dharamsala, clinching a 4-1 victory. The side outclassed England on the third day of the Test yet again, bundling the visitors out for just 195 after putting 479 on the board in the first innings. While the Indian captain did make a slow start with the bat, he eventually played a crucial role in the side's series win, scoring two important centuries. Rohit ended with 400 runs in five Tests. India's head coach, Rahul Dravid, praised Rohit's significant contribution throughout the series, highlighting a particular innings that exemplified the team's dependence on their captain. “It has been a pleasure watching him bat since I saw him as an 18-year-old. It is always pleasing to the eye. But I think he has added a lot of steel and grit to that. Sometimes, we forget that a little bit. Look at his numbers. He was shy enough not to mention the critical situation where he won the toss in Rajkot, and we were 3 down in the first hour. You need somebody to step up and get a hundred, and the captain does that for you,” Dravid said. India were left reeling at 33/3 in the first innings of the Rajkot Test; Rohit then partnered Ravindra Jadeja and scored a prolific 133 off 196 deliveries, adding 204 runs for the fourth wicket to bail the side out of trouble. “Second innings in Ranchi, you needed a start to chase 192. Both the openers gave us that. He has been terrific to watch; it is not easy to start as a middle-order player and then open. To do that consistently when we needed it, especially in the last three games, is a credit to him in spite of other things happening around him,” said Dravid further.

@@blue_red_screen Rohit Sharma's India Cricket team has faced challenges in major finals of ICC tournaments due to a combination of factors. Despite reaching significant finals, like the World Test Championship,ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup, India has struggled to secure victories. Issues such as the pressure of high-stakes matches, the need for a different approach to gameplay, and the impact of strategic decisions have influenced these outcomes. Rohit Sharma himself has acknowledged the need for a change in mindset and tactics, emphasizing the importance of playing freely and differently in crucial matches. The team's performance in finals has been affected by instances of batting collapses, strategic errors, and the inability to convert good starts into substantial scores. Additionally, criticism has been directed at specific player decisions and match-turning moments that have impacted India's results in these critical encounters. Overall, a combination of psychological pressure, strategic adjustments, and execution on the field have contributed to India's challenges in achieving success in major ICC tournament finals.

Mr Nasser , as an Indian I absolutely appreciate your opinion on various issues throughout this series. But for one moment when you say Eng will not play for draws , do you or anyone in Eng think that india and Aus are playing for draws. I can 't understand what this Eng cricket team and their fans think about how they are going about their job and the way they are speaking in public.Ever since we have had WTC , most test matches have had results all around the world. So there is no desperate need that any particular team has to make test cricket interesting or save it. When there are 35 to 40 wickets in a test match on a regular basis and hence a result , it is already quite interesting. The actual fact is that Bazball is just the incapable technique- less eng T20 batsmen having an intent to win test matches by just attacking without any test match skills. If you are honest , tell us one batsman in this eng team except Root who is capable of playing a Jurel(90 in 1st innings in Ranchi) type of an innings under that type of a pressure and on that pitch . Sorry there is none which is a shame considering the talking your players are doing in public. Whatever refinement eng make after this series , pls ask Mr Duckett to convey it to Jaiswal as he has to copy it (according to Duckett). Sorry to mention this in this video where you are a part of because there was enough saneness in your reaction to Duckett s view of Jaiswal s performances.

I think it’s probably for the best that we’ve got a bit of a break until the next series. Time for Stokes and Baz to walk away and have a think. At the end of the day, sides don’t win in India, and the overall series result is not a surprise. But England were very poor for large moments of the series. The most frustrating thing is we were genuinely in some of those early games, but you don’t win in India unless you score big first innings runs, and the experienced middle order have let us down for most of this series. We’ll definitely welcome Harry Brook back in the summer!

I think it’s pretty simple as under Root we just have too many batsmen that average in the low 30s. Crawley, Pope, Bairstow Stokes Foakes are just not consistent enough. I would bring in Jennings and Compton at the top with a middle order of Duckett Root Brookes and Stokes. I would stick with Foakes as I think it’s tough to judge his batting when he’s always batting with the tail. I would move away from Anderson purely because we need bowlers that can bat a bit. Robinson Woakes Wood and Hartley maybe that all bat

The proverbial Bazball - a neologism coined by ESPNCricinfo journalist Andrew Miller to describe the new brand of Test cricket England have adopted under the current regime - spectacularly folded against a time-tested, seasoned, and uncomplicated method of winning Test matches. Former New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum was brought in to oversee this transition while the captaincy mantle was handed over to Ben Stokes. On a true surface, in conditions the England would take less adjusting to, and after losing the toss, it took India less than three days to bowl the opponents out twice and somewhere in the middle of it, break their spirit in the field too. Annihilation of Bazball - Rohit Sharma’s India Have Cut Through The Hollow and Empty Big TalkTalk. The magnificent Dhauladhar range of Dharamshala bore witness as England capitulated for the one final time at the hands of the Indian juggernaut last week. At the end of the fifth Test, England perhaps couldn’t have asked for the series to end any sooner. Their frailties stood exposed. For all the flamboyance and aggression it boasts of, their bazball batting remained painfully out of depth for the better part of the five Tests. The sheer inadequacy of their bowling resources to force a result in these conditions couldn’t have been made any clearer. Baz has never coached a Test side before landing the high-profile job at England. His coaching stints were limited to T20 franchises but perhaps that’s exactly what England were after - a change in optics. McCullum brought with him a personality that was easily identifiable to the narrative spin that England were looking for after a prolonged period of mediocrity. The inherent nature of Test cricket still requires a team to be abundantly resourceful to take 20 wickets. There’s no substitute to this. An overlooked aspect in England’s early success during the Bazball era was their bowling attack kept achieving this with remarkable consistency. Bazball won its validation among fans and media alike. The exuberance with the bat was only going to take them so far unless they built the bowling muscle to compete. And this is precisely where Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma’s India bled them dry. England’s bowlers on the other hand were no match for India on either front. Their seamers were old and fragile, while their rookie spinners - despite promise - were out of their element for the most part. That Bazball is a renaissance that will make Test matches entertaining, we must be reminded every time the camera pans on Stokes. Every time Stokes makes a bowling change, or opts for a funky-looking field, or prematurely declares an innings for no apparent gain, it must be acknowledged that it’s being done to safeguard the future of Test cricket. Smith, Kohli, Labuschagne, and Sharma are among the finest batters in the modern game and boast of an infinitely superior career to every current England batter bar Joe Root. But the four must still mend their ways and play a game that satisfies the idea the English have decided to rally behind. England players too actively do their bit in peddling puffery around the cult of Bazball. After Australia pulled an incredible heist at Edgbaston in the opening Ashes Test last year, McCullum practically implied it was in fact England’s fast-paced approach that left enough time for Australia to force a win. In McCullum’s heady imaginations, it felt like they’d won. India managed to very swiftly turn the tide in this series with a fairly young core of players despite losing the opening Test. England fans may just be as open to actual victories as the team thinks they are to moral ones. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂The excuses get better and better , England ’re just not good enough to beat top teams.

England played very well, the result does not reflect but overall I loved the attitude of England compared to other touring teams. They never understood bazball in Indian condition, they went all out but proper bazz ball was played by India. On Indian pitchis you need to wait till afternoon n then start playing strokes once bowlers are but tierd but any ways ..very good series to watch...thank you England for entertaining us.

Stop saying they reinvented test cricket. Other batters have been doing it for long time. England just started batting like madmen regardless of the situation

We've been here before about refining it but learning how to win a series incorporating BB still ongoing. On reflection lndian batsmen played the attack/defence decisions very well, learn from them. Bumrah and the fielders managed the briefly swinging SG ball better backed up by the spinners superior accuracy and skill. Not to say Hart, Bash and Rehan can't attain this given time and fortitude.

It shows badly on ECB that they don't have good young pacer to replace old Anderson. No player however great keep on playing and deny younger players their chance. Many great players could have played on and on. Viv , Ponting, Sachin, Kallis, Akram etc could have played till they are 50 for milestones.
