The pinch hitters like Kapil Dev, Kiran More, Bowlers scored at 120 strike rate for 5-10 balls. No doubt, India rarely crossed 210-225 till Shastri batted as opener. 😜😜😜 . Australia honoured Shastri with Bharatha Ratna in Sydney for scoring 10 runs in 115 balls against them in an ODI. 😂😂😂

Met Ravi in 2005. Hampshire Rose Bowl. C4 Cricket Roadshow. He was absolutely charming. My then wife couldn’t see Sachin in the nets due to the crowds. Ravi took hold off her and carved a way through the crowd to the front and stood her next to Athers. Pole position. A gentleman in a world where it is so easy to just ignore the fans.

When Aussies and England had the money, they were never questionned about moral responsibilities. They never did anything for upliftment of Indian cricket. BCCI's earnings is what is keeping multiple boards running cricket. We are already doing a lot there.

I empathize with Shastri, definitely Rahul dravid might have got some calls wrong but during his tenure Rohit KL Virat had been out of form Bumrah Shreyas Pant Jadeja injured at crucial moment. Dravid should have waited for this Farewell brigade to retire and begun with his U-19 India A brigade without any baggage.
