Reflections of the Elan Valley

Oliver I first visited the Elan Valley with work in 2001 and I was blown away. It is probably my favourite place to visit in Wales - and I get there as much as possible. My wife also loves it so its all good - she can see the scenery and I get to take some images. We will have to meet up at some point when you are free (as discussed recently) and have a pint after taking some images - location of your choice. I can drive no worries. Extremely inspiring images and a great video from a place close to my heart - and soul :-)

I found the Elan Valley a few years ago, quite accidentially. The A40 was closed for hours due to an accident and the locals advised me to take the route through the valley. It was the most scenic drive and since we come back as often as possible. Means, we share your love of the area :)

@@OliverHerbold funnily enough we were talking about going there today - instead we went to Merthyr and to the Brecon Railway and Ponsticill reservoir. No camera though :-)

@@waynelodwig4727 Sometimes it has to be a family day... Been to Cornwall recently and didn't take any photos. Imagine, it was still a great time :)

One of my all time favorite areas Oliver. I think you did well with the narrative of the day - reflections! There were some outstanding shots there. Thank you for Claerwen. I know it didn't produce anything but you did produce a special memory for me of me and my dear late twin brother Paul there in 2016. Thank you. A question. Is that a dutch twang I can hear? Thank you very much for taking your time to leave such a wonderful comment Mark, it brightens my day! Sometimes we visit an area with certain expectations and then we find it totally different. For me it was a very enjoyable morning and I wish for more of these. Btw.: We share the love for the Elan Valley and I try to visit as often as I can. @@OliverHerbold A pleasure Oliver, I'm glad it lifted your spirits. I guess it's good to remain detached and see what happens. Like you I seek to go back to the Elan Valley a lot more. There is lots more there. Aaah German. I have a dutch friend and it sounds similar. Peace!
