This game deserves so much more than is given to it... Its so much better than No man's Sky or Space Engineers in so much aspects. How is this game so underrated?

It's not underrated. It's not overrated either. The game is just very mid and very dependent on Reforged Eden to be enjoyable at all. When your game is dependent on a mod to be enjoyable, it's just mid. The game itself still manages to feel and play like a late alpha/early beta. What they called a "release" was a massive joke.

Never played Reforged Eden, never felt the need to and I don't think this game depends on it or any other mod to be good. AT ALL. It's not my fault if people don't know how to identify and enjoy a good, economically accessible, broad-spectrum survival space construction and exploration game, with active combat, NPC's and missions that bring the scenario to life. It's very difficult to find a game like this that gives you several options, from being an explorer who doesn't want war with anyone to a murder hobo, without the need to add mods to have combat with enemy ships and NPCs, or force you to play online with frustrated high leveled playes constantly ganking your ass, for example.

What does this game offer that neither has? Because I can think of over a dozen that the other 2 games has that this title lacks. This title, lacks proper circle planets as the planets are technically triangle shaped and stretched out to look like a circle . title lacks an actual cohesive story with an endgame. This title is missing physics. The starting location is not procedurally generated. It’s just the tutorial location. Also all locations exist within the galaxy of this title are not procedure generated as stated the seed just moved them to different locations on the galaxy map as well as the sectors within the system itself for each and every star.. it’s impossible to play online and not find a planet or system that has yet to have been found undiscovered. No wheels why are there no wheels this is just a few things I can come up with with about two minutes worth of thinking instead of just giving a blank statement with nobody to comment. You just say it’s better without giving any reason or rhyme. This game is not bad in this game is not great. It literally sits in the middle as a niche type of game after about 40 hours. I’m gonna get bored shitless of this game and go back to no man’s sky and space engineers. At least no man’s sky gets constant updates from the developers like every damn month. And while space engineers is in nearly the same state as this game at least the developers are quite active. Without mods, this game would’ve been dead in the water after about five years of development so you can think the community for this to continue to be developed because without the community making mods for this game or the scenarios and the blueprints, nobody would be playing this empty filling game And what’s worse is the potential future development of this game as the same company that ruined call of duty mobile $.10 has been partnered up with the developers of this game so you can expect this game to get battle passes in a whole bunch of other bullshit ruin it so you have that to look forward to if you’re a main stay player And another reason why I play no man’s sky more often than the other two games is because out of all the updates that has ever been brought to the game the developers have never asked for a single fucking cent from me

i hate to say it, but im not a fan of some of the new icons. i realized what i think my biggest problem with them is. a LOT of them are just sci fi-looking canisters that could be ANYTHING if you havent learned what it is yet. anything from pentaxid to meds to fuel to aluminum powder to water to air. theyre all just a non-descript futuristic canister. the old biofuel made sense because it looked like something most people are familiar with, a jerry can. we all know thats fuel. the water was just a bottle of water. o2 suit refills looked like scuba tank. emergency o2 looked like the little ones you put in airsoft guns. aside from that, im kind of on the fence about the raw ores. some look a little too similar. also the ammo changes kinda bug me. 7.62 looks like 6.5 creedmoor. and 5.56 just doesnt look like 5.56. i never really go on discord so idk if anyone feels the same way. hate to be a downer, just my 2 cents.

Ooh hey a Spanj vid e.e dang thats a while ago,i have tried RE 2 aswell i like it,havent tried much of the late game stuff,it has become a tad more tideous but ye always been a grindy game.and frequent whipes ,and updates that didnt add much didnt make it interresting to replay,but with a new dlc and re 2 it might be :)

Have the missions gotten better? I ragequit a long while ago when there was one where you attacked a base on a moon, and then went through a teliporter into the middle of a bunch of enemies. I remember a number of fairly annoying missions that just felt not thought out well, like the one where you had to talk to some dude on a floating base, which iirc had no landing pad, and no way to get up from the ground.

So mining cobalt while standing on an sv, spoilers you can connect to the cargo container by clicking the little wifi button top middle of your screen when looking at your ships inventory, that way unlike Spanj you wont drop you're cobalt on the ground...

Basically I just spawned in the Hammerhead starter for vanilla. I am looking at Reforged Eden 2 now. Do I want to spend months playing vanilla or do I check out Reforged Eden 2 now. I am learning Reforged Eden 2. Not sure if the vanilla is worth it for the time involved.

Sir Humphry Davy coined the term Aluminum. He was British and would have known about the other spellings. He only changed it to Aluminium when he was back in England and was bullied to change the spelling so there were no chances people would think they were Americans saying it. Think I am wrong? They asked Davy about who he taught this to and specifically, if he taught it to Americans. So, he was bullied to change it under the asinine guise of "We wanted it to sound classical" when really it was to not sound American. It's not the way the man wanted to coin that term and he was bullied. So, as far as I am concerned it's Aluminum.

I'm hoping a RE2 version of RE1 Unbalanced/Ad Astra/Cowboys that are more in line with a singleplayer experience will come out, either later in beta or once it is fully released. I tried Ad Astra and liked many of the changes (shield parts give more shields for example), however everything seemed almost _too_ powerful. I would like a middle ground. However, I do understand Vermillion's vision of this gritty, dangerous galaxy that you as one person can't just fly around opening a can of whoop ass on everything, but at the same time I like becoming disgustingly overpowered if I put the work in. I also really like the new weapon system, it blows RE1 and the vanilla game out of the water. I hope in the future Eleon will add in aspects of it, so I'm torn on RE2. On one hand, I really like most of the changes that were made to it. On the other hand, no disgustingly overpowered do-everything flying cities bristling with guns, and crew being more rare and limited per ship makes me kind of sad. On the upside, with these changes I see small, compact, heavily armored, highly detailed, RP heavy ships becoming more popular.

It is quite a bit more of a grind. Also, thanks to bleed-through you can now lose critical ship components while your shield is up so we're back to the days when a slow combat steel shoebox is the only thing that's viable in combat. It's like they took everything we loved about RE and threw it out the window, then doubled down on everything that made it a drag. I'm so glad I still have the older version.

Combat in RE2 is way more difficult as most NPC's have some form of shield penetration. Learn to use combat steel or xenosteel plating and bury your fuel/O2 tanks deep.

Fuel/O2 tanks aren't targetable. Gens, weapons, thrusters, and warp drive are what you need to worry about.

I'm not fully on-board with RE2 yet. I don't like the intentional dismissal of the ability to build large space ships (i.e Battlestar Empyrica) and to hear from Vermillion that players are "not intended" to be able to mount all weapons, etc "An endgame RE2 CV should be comparable to a Zirax Destroyer or Cruiser. You will never make a ship as large, as armored, or as armed as a Tovera. So you will never stand equal to one in a fight." is disappointing to say the least. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
