Another beautiful creation and video! Thank you for sharing! Can I use emulsifying wax NF in place of the BTMS? Mango or cocoa butter in place of shea? Will it stay the sane consistency if I switch butters? Thank you again fir sharing!

Thank you so much. Yes, you can use Emulsifying Wax NF instead of BTMS-50 and use mango or cocoa butter instead of shea butter. Emulsifying Wax NF will still create a stable emulsion but might slightly alter the texture. Mango butter will make the scrub lighter and less creamy, while cocoa butter will make it firmer and more solid.

Hey there Sylvie, would it be possible to add a surfactant..either powder or liquid to this, to get a little cleansing action.. or not?

I haven't tried it myself, but you could add Decyl Glucoside to this scrub for a gentle lather. Incorporate it during the cool-down phase, using 5-10% of the total formula weight (around 11g-22g). Adding it at this stage will prevent any unwanted lathering while whisking. To balance the formula, slightly reduce the water content.
