Did u let it dry for 48 hours. I used that glitter spray on my wheels and got a thumb print as well. But it needed to cure for 48 hours.

I let it dry for like 48 minutes (lol Hyperbole, but still wasn’t enough to be “right”) because I’m impatient and didn’t want to park my car outside while this one was apart. I know it’s no fault but my own. It actually “self healed” quite a bit as it cured overnight. Can barely tell they’re there anymore.

Sorry this is unrelated, you seem to find some nice aftermarket parts. Is there a thermostat housing that is better than the stock plastic one available?
@HiroshimaSpirit
@HiroshimaSpirit 4 жыл бұрын
Doubtful, as there is no real reason to make one. The housing the car comes with works just fine, so there’s no demand to improve it.

G'day from down under......... Did you guys get the 2-door DE Demio / M2....? Just curious watching all the mods you did to a 4-door M2 & wondering if the 2-door was available to you or was the 2-door a RHD only thing....
@HiroshimaSpirit

We didn’t get the two door, unfortunately.

The 2-door was available as LHD in Europe at least.

Hi, I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how to improve the AC?
@HiroshimaSpirit
@HiroshimaSpirit 3 жыл бұрын
I don’t. The system is known for being kind of “weak” for some people and fine for others. The a/c in both of mine has never left me wanting.

Question - since you have taken apart Mazda 2 steering wheels with and without the controls (audio and cruise ) in them - is it possible to install the touring controls in the sport steering wheel? Im hoping to ad some of the touring features to my 2013 sport like you did with the fog lights.
@HiroshimaSpirit
@HiroshimaSpirit 3 жыл бұрын
No, you have to replace the entire steering wheel and airbag to get the controls, and at that point they won’t work without changing some hardware in various places and flashing the ECU to Touring spec. It’s more trouble than it’s worth.

I’ve always unplugged the connectors from the airbag inflator and left it attached to the horn/airbag assembly. Any reason for doing it the way you did?
@HiroshimaSpirit
@HiroshimaSpirit 4 жыл бұрын
I didn’t want to risk messing up the connectors. Truthfully, I don’t know how to disconnect them and I didn’t want to wait for an answer. lol The write up I cited does it that was as well, fwiw.

Cool. The little black retainer clips pop up but not off (I usually use a small flat-heat screwdriver) and the yellow and orange plugs pull right out. Eliminates any chance of too much tension in the wires. Not sure which is the “right” way, but clearly both work.
