What a great deck and the views are beautiful. Spring and fall for the change in seasons and then Florida for some warm R & R. The deck enhances your VA home. Looking forward to your adventures in Florida and sightseeing in the new travel vehicle. You deserve some rest after that well done job. I shared you summer trip with my granddaughter and she was awed by the perilous roads. Maybe we will get to see dolphins and turtles this winter. Can’t wait. Love to you both and Bill, take a rest. ❤️😉🥰

Absolutely gorgeous! You did an awesome job all by yourself!!! Amen! We like leaving our deck open underneath because we want to put gravel or river rocks underneath and around our house. The only thing we had done different is we had the steps inclosed with a board behind each step. Finishes it up nice and you can't drop anything underneath. Congratulations! Amazing!!! We also stained the rails a warm pine color and painted the floor dark brown to match our shutters on the house. Lots of possibilities. I know you will enjoy it for years to come. 🤗

I have noticed that many builders are putting slats on the inside. 30 + years ago when I asked the builder to do that he refused because it wouldn't look right. When it was completed, and I moved in the first thing I did was to put them on the inside. I had BIG boys who were not gentle and had actually pushed a few loose on our old house. (Edit: It's code here now)

❤ Are you going to close off the underneath of this patio? I know that I would… I wouldn’t want any critters to find lodging underneath there! Skunks, racoons, snakes, rats, mice, or a dead something! Just saying!

I too must replace the decking. I have a good 12" gap between the deck and the house. Did you use the additional spacing boards to close that gap and run the new decking boards across those?

Yes

I miss seeing Elizabeth and Carly opening the boxes from Israel. Are you still receiving them?
@LiveSimpleLiveFreeСағат бұрын
No, we had to stop a year ago. They come from Israel and take a long time to ship. We had trouble receiving them since we are at different houses at different times.

Congratulations on the Sale !! 🚙 Now, however, you are again subject to every walker’s temptation……… other people’s cast-offs 😂😂🤣😅. We’ve managed to limit ourselves to rescuing discarded plants, trees, and the occasional piece of balcony furniture, along with plant containers - i.e., whatever we can carry between us at the time. Your “She Shed” offers so many possibilities !!!!! I’d paint it and fill it with a creative jungle-gym for Miles, adding two salvages seats so you can be spectators to his antics without sitting on concrete. 😽 -V
