I think he did miss, the forehead looks too receding/big with new haircut, need to be really careful with people forehead area. Nothing worse than going barbers and having your hair styled in way to hide receding/ large forehead and barber becomes trigger happy with scissors. Should ask clients before snipping those hairs in that fringe area. Lot of the time the issue arises when barbers cut on wet hair, cos when it dries it usually goes even shorter.

Oval is the best head shape because it is versatile with many styles so a fade should look good

I find it a little confusing that you say a 1.5 and then proceed to taper down to a 0.5, which looks to be the same thing you do when you call it is 0.5? I thought the number would refer to the shortest you go at the bottom, am I missing something?

What's astonishing is that so many young chaps get what is a called a Hitler Youth haircut, faded up back, sides, and long on top. Most chaps I see have that same type of haircut. Some even like the top to flop across their foreheads. But there is always that hard fade on sides/back.

I totally agree. Hair that good should be shown off not cut so short. My hair texture is quite coarse and like yours very 'uncooperative' so I totally get what you're saying. For the very 1st time I thought the before hair was better than the final cut

100% agree. He came in basically with a perfect haircut for his facial features. The additional hair on his head frames his face better given bizygomatic width. I don't hate this style for him by any means but it's doesn't fit him as good as the original one technically speaking. The more odd thing is he looks like he's only a few weeks out from a cut and it still looks good. The only issue with the original cut was he has a sharp line at the sideburns instead of a fade -> 40:34 Not sure if the original stylist did that or he decided to shave that in himself but it needs to be tapered

It's incredibly easy for long hair to look bad though even if you put time into styling it. Short hair is guaranteed to look presentable it will look the same all day as when you looked in the mirror in the morning and unfortunately that's not the case when you have more than 2 or 3 inches of hair on your head. Having length in your hair means having to use products, brushes, blow-dryers etc and if you don't bother with any of that there's a good chance your gonna look a mess most of the time especially if you have a frustrating hair type such as very fine and pin straight hair or frizzy curly hair. Most men can't be bothered with the high maintenance of having long hair including myself.

As someone that's had long and short hair life is definitely so much easier with it cut short. You can jump straight out the shower and leave the house looking decent without doing anything at all to it. If you do that with long hair you spend the day looking like a total mess. Having it long is just too much hassle even if it makes someone look more stylish and intriguing. The high maintenance to it having to blow dry it every morning and run product through it gets exhausting very quickly especially in hot months.
