Cooling pad will keep laptop cold. It is of course saved a life of this laptop!

Thank you for posting this video! I wasn't sure where the RAM slots were as I just got some new sticks for it! Upgrading up to 4GB :)

I also have an L455D going on its third year...Only thing that went was the HD...Replaced that with a WD 320GB unit (Toshi drives seem to always be flimsy)...I have used a cooling pad underneath since I've had it, which actually does keep the strain off the on-board fan's speed activity thus prolonging the life of the fan motor...Regular defragging and purging of past internet activity also helps in stretching out the unit's life...

Hi, all laptops are pretty much the same, rarely you will be able to remove a fan without taking it almost all the way apart. That's just the way it is.In some laptops you will need to remove motherboard. In some you will need to take screen out in order to remove motherboard to remove fan. (you will not need to take screen apart in order to clean a fan)

Hi, Thanks for such a valuable feedback! My table is grounded and this stupid device on hand I use is just to show people that they have to use at least something (I don't like this cable hanging around) Yep, I tend to not keep parts properly, thanks God rarely getting in to a problem. Once I was shocked too, saw a video where some dude was taking his laptop apart while sitting on a carpet, without any type of protection. Anyway, thank you very much!

Thanks, this helped a lot.

Hi, unless you can do some dramatic changes to it, like completely different motherboard - it will be hard to make it as gaming laptop. If you will upgrade CPU to the maximum that possible, memory to the max and change regular hard drive to a SSD - it will have some serious performance change, but that's about it. Video card will be still the same and it is not upgradable.

I think it should work, make sure BIOS will be updated and don't forget to get a new thermal paste. Have a good luck!

Hi! I have a Toshiba Satellite L450D-119 and I was thinking how can I make it get faster for games and I have no idea what to do, what to buy or anything im new with computer stuff and I was hoping if you would tell me what is a good thing to upgrade and what this laptop supports for upgradeing???
@regazzz10 жыл бұрын
It is usually not too much you can upgrade in a laptop. HDD to SSD, if you can replace CPU than your CPU to a better CPU - memory to more memory. And altogether it can take much more money than just get a gaming laptop from a start :)

Maybe something went wrong. do you see anything on the external screen.

i took mine apart and put it back together and now i have extra screws and the screen doesnt turn on, i wasnt wearing anything antistatic either.
@shredderjoachim8 жыл бұрын
Thats why antistatic wristwear is essential when working on any electronic device. You could vary well have fried a component on the board.
