The Crossville club was sold by the private owners. Blame them and not the council. As much as they are useless, they are not at fault for private owners selling their properties to developers. Not all the town centre, aka all the closed shops is owned by the council. The majority of the town centre shops are owned by private owners. Marks & Spencer’s building is in the hands of a private holdings. Get on to them about redevelopment. The area around Asda as well in not owned by the council.

Got to say I hate this from locals, yes Crewe has gone to the dogs recently, there are no shops left and the council is broke and doesn’t care. But ask the majority of locals that moan about it if they would like to move to Winsford or Stoke and they visibly cringe. Crewe isn’t as bad as everybody likes to make out and maybe if people took pride in where they live it would improve.

The reason they are broke is because they have had their funding cut by 50% from the government over the last 14 years the same as councils all over the country!
