Billy Connolly....Scotland's gift to humanity. I've been laughing my head off with him since the 70's. Where do you start?...Old Lady on the Bus, Terrorist Attack on Glasgow Airport, Don't drink the Tap Water in Ibiza, Colonoscopy, On a Flight to Australia and so on. Whoopi Goldberg is the one who introduced him to an unsuspecting America in an HBO special. The late Robin Williams was in that audience, laughed his head off and became firm friends with Billy until his death in 2014. You cannot go wrong with Billy, also known as the Big Yin. He's been causing us in the UK to laugh our heads off since the 70's, has done some acting: Mrs Brown, and amongst others, a Columbo. Total legend and just bloody funny. I would go as far as to say possibly the funniest stand up comic of all time. He's sadly got Parkinson's now & retired from performing. I'm probably going to cry a river when he goes.....

Another two of of my all time Connolly stand-up faves are 'Potatoes Of The Night' and 'Incontinence Pants'...but you mentioned a bunch of his other classic routines and they're equally hilarious, dangerously so. God bless him. Undoubtedly, the funniest man I ever saw in all my 72 years. 🙋‍♂

I saw Billy on his Bites Your Bum tour in Dundee Scotland in the 80's... He was utterly relentless, absolutely hysterical - He would tell one joke and you were laughing so hard but then he would tell 3 other jokes while you were still laughing at the first one... I seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack !!!. I had to leave the auditorium and stand in the foyer to calm down.. And there were at least another dozen people there doing the same thing lol .. AMAZING comedian, especially if you are Scottish. Billy was able to speak in his normal voice without having to enunciate (as he had to performing in England) meant Billy was able to go at us like a train without having to draw breath.. Frighteningly funny.

At 2.31 on the video Billy corrects wilderbeasts to wilderbeast - precise, concise and articulate English language. Instantly. 'Can I get a ...' means can I go and fetch it, in a restaurant, instead of ''can I have' or 'can I order'. He knows that precise, concise, English language tells a story far better. A dieing art form

He was in a great film with Dame Judy Dench about Queen Victoria and her friendship with a Scottish servant after Prince Albert passed away. Mrs Brown, I think it's called. He also used to own a tea company called Tickerty Boo. It's profits went to the tea growers and charities. It was so flavoursome. It's no longer available. Sadly.

It was Iguanas on the Galápagos Islands that, when newly hatched, had to immediately run the gauntlet of racer snakes appearing from everywhere trying to kill them. They had to make it to some rocks and scramble up and over them to the 'safety' of the sea, avoiding being caught. But newly hatched baby turtles have to run the gauntlet of predatory birds in order to reach the sea and safety.

Great reaction Mike and Jess. Billy Connolly is for sure one of a kind. Talk about a random comedy skit, I have a little gem for you guys. Try reacting to "I Hear You're A Racist Now, Father! - Father Ted" (3.00 mins) which is beyond funny and from a British/Irish sitcom (situation comedy) called 'Father Ted' and was a very popular and very funny comedy sketch show which ran through the mid 90's. This comedy sketch clip was taken from Season 3 Episode 1 and regarded as the most favourite comedy clip from the whole series and generally reacted to by most comedy KZbin reactors. Give it a go guys as it is guaranteed to have you in stitches. 😅🤣😂

Speaking as an Englishman, the relationship between England and Scotland has been - variously - tumultuous, exciting, warlike and resigned - like two very different people having to share the same house. With no possibility of leaving it. But out of that has come a sometimes wary acknowledgement of each other's talents and brilliance. And for those south of the border, Billy Connolly is one of Caledonia's greatest exports. And perhaps a reminder, even today, of what the British Isles looked like before we learned to be more American. (I say this with respect, but it is a fact that we sometimes suffer a loss of identity through over-identification - via language - with a culture that doesn't fully reflect us). Crossing boundaries is the target of humour, however. And he is one of its great geniuses.
