As a Giants fan, I can attest to the dominance of Reggie White. Trust me, we didn't like him or the Eagles - at all. However, as big and tough as he was, Reggie went out of his way to NOT hurt the opposing players. If you watch the way he tackles players, you will see what I mean. Bottom line: Reggie White was an all-time great player, but he was an even better human being.

I was just about to comment on his sportsmanship. You can absolutely tell he's only putting in the force he knows is needed to dominate the play instead of trying to win the game by putting players out like a lot do.

As a Packers fan who lives too close to the Minnesota boarder, I was going to start my sophomore year of high school when the Green Bay Packers signed Reggie White. We were stunned when the KARE 11 sportscaster of Minneapolis/St Paul, MN mentioned that the Green Bay Packers signed Reggie White to a 4 year, $17.4 million dollar deal to play for Green Bay. My dad's reaction was "how the hell were they able to sign him? They are going to the super bowl!" They did and he got his ring.

There was this fierce offensive tackle, out of MSU, named Tony Mandarich. He was supposed to be the most feared offensive lineman to ever enter into the NFL. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the first round in 1989. Into the season, The Packers face The Eagles when White was playing for them. After the game, a reporters asked fellow defensive lineman, Jerome Brown, what was it like to play against Mandarich. Brown replied, "I was afraid I was going to break an ankle out there." The reporter queried why and Brown responded, "Because I didn't know which way Reggie was going to throw next." Savage.

I'll never forget a week or two after he signed with Green bay, The media asked him, "Why did you sign with the Packers?" Reggie said he had prayed to god and asked, "what team should I sign with to finally win a Super bowl?" He said the Lord answered "Green bay." You kinda got the impression the announcers were kinda 'rolling there eyes'. Four years later the team won it in New Orleans! If thats not a testament to how spirituality connected he was to God. Then I don't know what is. G.O.A.T Packers defense men period. We miss you Reggie.
