They were friends and cool with each other but, 2Pac reached out to Suge on his own via Keisha. Snoop and Dre consultant in part for 2Pac to be on Death Row. Suge got Snoop and Dre's approval to allow 2Pac to be Death Row. That was protocol. You go to your biggest artist on the label at the time (Snoop) as well as your business partner as well as the other CEO & co-founder of the company (Dr. Dre). Suge, LT Hutton, and several others have addressed this over the years. The credit doesn't go to Snoop for 2Pac being on Death Row. That goes to 2Pac and Suge. It was 2Pac's decision and him reaching out via his wife. Suge agreed, got approval from Snoop & Dre, and him along with his team made it happen. 2Pac had several reasons why he wanted to work with and sign to Death Row. That's it, that's all.
