Regenerative Poultry--
Changing the world, one chicken at a time
This workshop will lay out the process of building the foundation of a Regenerative Poultry system, from the steps to building a farm operation to the infrastructure associated with supply-chain development strategies and the organizational, networking, aggregation, branding, distribution, processing and other key system-level components needed to successfully transition poultry into a biodynamic, regenerative sector.
Originally from Guatemala, Reginaldo brings an indigenous-based approach to putting poultry back into its natural environment, to the business development process for aggregating and scaling the collective impact of small farms, and to see a new and regenerative industry emerge.

Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin
Reginaldo is the principal architect of an innovative poultry-centered regenerative agriculture model that is at the heart of the Main Street Project, where he is Chief Strategy Officer. His focus is on the development of multi-level strategies for building regenerative food and agriculture systems that deliver social, economic and ecological benefits. He leads Main Street’s engineering and design work and currently oversees the implementation of restorative blueprints for communities in the US, Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras.
As co-founder of the newly-established Regenerative Agriculture Alliance, Reginaldo’s approach to regenerative agriculture involves a biodiverse system of symbiotically connected livestock and perennials, a model whose goals include the regeneration of farmland, the rebuilding of local food systems and creating opportunities for young and immigrant farmers. A native of Guatemala, Reginaldo began working on economic development projects with indigenous Guatemalan communities in 1988, and was a founding member of the Fair Trade Federation in 1994. Last year, he was awarded one of the prestigious lifetime Ashoka Fellowships for his groundbreaking work in the field of regenerative food and agriculture engineering.
Reginaldo is the author of the bestselling book In The Shadow of Green Man: My Journey from Poverty and Hunger to Food Security and Hope, available at mainstreetproject.org/in-the-...

Too much guilt for me. The regenerative movement (thus far) for me has been one of possibility and eagerness to get everyone on board a.s.a.p. While I really appreciate all of Reginaldo's work I don't respond well to being made to feel that first I have to "guilt-up" in order to approach nature with respect and loving kindness. I hear much of the lingo currently in circulation that create division instead of collaboration and crossing all boundaries of social, economic, gender or race. Nature removes all these artificial, human constructed differences. I have really enjoyed listening to all the different voices at your conference. I have so much to learn and can't wait to be able to share with everyone in my community.

I like how he was talking about the corn being confident enough to fully express.
