I appreciate my African-American heritage but ultimately it feels freeing to not be bound by heavy traditions and cultural responsibilities compared to other countries. I can pick up and move to the other coast, change religion, marry who i want etc and my family will just want me to be happy and visit sometimes. Would you really want to be forced to work your father's / father's father's job? To be expected to be like your ancestors?

I absolutely love your channel. It's about reminding us that food is not a thing about 'on the go' and cheap and 'convenient' and 'mass production'. But it's about truth and pride, it's tradition, it's emotion, it's ancestors, it's a value of quality and purpose and knowledge of nature, respect and health and caring and friends and family. It's very simply ... life. Thank you for this!

5:35 to 6:16 The love and pride just beaming from this lady's face and heart is so inspiring. I think very few people attain this level of joy and happiness from anything in life, let alone their jobs. The fact that she is a part of a lineage, a heritage of love and joy, especially for the tiniest thing like a mold for cheese...it just makes her heart burst with purpose. I'm really happy for her. I wish I knew what that felt like. Most people do, they just don't know it. She is very lucky.

This is not an insult, I am tired of watching a food vlog/producer who is burned or bored with his/her job. I've had them and found them lacking flavor but I think it depends on how you like your sardines. They don't have a spicy version so that's disappointing.

I'm a worker. I buy those sardines for my lunchbreak sometimes...never realised how much work goes into making a can. One of the best canned fish

@@greenknight907 he isnt talking about Mediterranean culture, he's directly talking about the body of water that lies next to Portugal, and that body of water is the Atlantic Ocean, not the Mediterranean. Just look at a map. also I love the audacity to just present your completely bs logic and then put a "Done" at the end lmao..... with your logic one could argue that Portugal also has a coast on the pacific, bc yk Portugal is Eurasian and Eurasia has a coast on the Pacific stfu
