I graduated with my bachelors then was lucky to become a Clinical Research Nurse in oncology, then became a CRA for oncology and then became an early phase oncology CRA. Fortunately, I was able to jump right into the CRA route after nursing, and very happy with the route I’ve taken :)

This is great info! I hope to be a clinical research nurse one day. I have few questions if you don't mind answering: 1) Is it possible to become a clinical research nurse as a new grad? A little about my background is that I have a BS in Biology and I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 2 years. I left the industry because I got into a nursing program, and I am halfway through it. 2) Do Registered Nurses need to have a certification? Like the SoCRA or ACRP? If so, would your academy help in obtaining one of those certification?

hi as an rn it is a chance to become cra with no experience but my CRA Academy has been able to get many RNs hired!

Would this be applicable for new nursing grads or work experience is required?
