You can see how taboo this subject is by the few views and fewer comments on this video, but I appreciate those willing to debunk the lies that motherhood is obligatory, joyful, fulfilling, and supported by community.

I was guilt tripped into motherhood by being told things like "But you're going to be so saaad and lonely after you turn 40 with so many cats" Having a baby is still the worst decision I've ever made and I still believe becoming a parent is a joyless burden. I miss my old life. Cats are intelligent wonderful creatures.

I love my baby more than everything but I regret it every day. It’s too hard to be a single mom. Don’t do it. Many suicidals or sudden deaths. No sleep no food. I am writing this while this monster is screaming. He’s teething since he’s 3 weeks old. I looked like a princess now I look like a horror movie actress.

And it's always women who get this. Incredibly insulting. What do they say to childfree men? "Congratulations." And all the ones dodging child support? "Congratulations." And the ones paying for abortions? "Congratulations."

It is really obvious that parenthood is awful. I don't understand why women have kids just because they are guilt tripped.

Regretting parenthood is entirely normal. Accepted, too, just look at all the fathers who suddenly disappear while they're just getting cigarettes LOL. But that's male privelege I guess. It should be just as normal to give up the child at any age once you realize you're not fit for the job, no matter your gender. We still have such a long way to go.

Regretting motherhood is normal but not acceptable. They want to silence women and just treat us like objects.

I didn't think about wanting kids. Later I did want them, it is who I am now. As a mom it is becomg of you, it changes you, It is very hard but it is a love better than your dog or cat. It is beautiful. Every day is beautiful and hard

About the last statement... thousands around the world? Must be hundreds of thousand to be conservative if not counted by thr billions. Check out Chinese Postpartum Meal and read the comments and likes of crying mothers in disbelief and relief and joy that somewhere some culture actually cares this much about women after birth.

the true monsters are those who selfishly birth kid after kid into this world without being able to take proper care of themselves.. look at the US where countless obese jobless girls are having kids out of wetlock from several fathers to then be crying that their kids stay hungry when schools are closed for some weeks

Some are made for it, others aren't. As long as there is no shortage of people on the planet (on the contrary!), why not leave motherhood to those who enjoy it?

Can you tell me why you feel this way? I am really wrestling with God about even wanting a child. Do you feel women are biblically obligated to have kids?
@wordyyou56178 ай бұрын
Biblically we are absolutely not obligated to have kids. Paul even says that it is better to stay unmarried, if you can. If God has another plan for you as a woman, that is totally fine. If you have a child, that is great, too. Pray a lot about the decision. @@brookefox3627
