You do terrific work and you are truly appreciated. Hoping you find the happiness and fulfillment that you deserve.

You remind me of me on road trips. I get obsessed with the travel and always seem to want to continue on, rather than stop. I did that across the United States. Sometimes I missed out on stopping at good places and often got to my destination too early and decide to continue past. Many times that meant I stopped at a less desirable place.

I lived north of Laoag from 1978-1980 when I was stationed at the Paredes Air Station, as an Air Force Lt. I would go to Pagudpud, Clavaria and even Aparri. Living at the top of a mountain overlooking the South China Sea. Best job of my life at only 25 years old! The Ilocano's treated me very well. In Laoag I would always stay at the Texicano hotet which still exists. Love the detail Scotty of your travels!

I just watched a video from a white man married to a Filipina living there. He was complaining about people begging for money everywhere he goes. At restaurants or walking around women with children are begging for money. In his car if he doesn’t lock the doors people are trying to get in. They come to his window and tap on it begging for money. Does this happen to you? Maybe it’s just the particular city they live in.

I don't know man what I'm hearing are many of the same thoughts that were going though my head while doing a similar tour earlier this year and many of your steps I traced. The right place is always around the next bend or the next island and so is the right woman. But neither ever materialize. In the city the province sounds good, in the province the city sounds good, the reality never lives up and touring around is a tough go. I am very much enjoying living vicariously through you with these videos but frankly I have ZERO desire to go back for more. So more power to you I admire your tenacity.

I did it too. 10 island 60+ places. Old saying is you can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit. Most of the guys that like the Philippines is because of a Filipina. Take the Pu$$y out of the equation and the country is a 3rd world mess.

Back in my world traveling days when I was Scottie’s age I would use a silk sleeping bag when staying at questionable hotels. Its a perfect barrier between me and any cockroaches, bedbugs, or jizz stains. The silk sleeping bag rolls up to the size of a pair of socks so it didn’t take up much space in my bag. Then the next day I would wake up and swear to myself I would get a reservation at a decent hotel and not arrive at midnight.

I like cheap hotels too, traveling in China, something was crawling on me. I don't get those other expats. They don't travel. They don't stay in hotels or bath houses. They don't speak Chinese. They're obsessed with their Chinese wife and their shitty job. They worship the ccp. They seem fun and extroverted but they don't really discuss anything in depth.

That hotel with the parking down below and the room above looked exactly like what they call Cabanas en the Dominican Republic which are short term hotels used by the locals for trysts. I've used them myself many times when I lived there. In the DR if you arrive after midnight you can stay till 8am for the same price as the usual 4 hour rate.

I also have a thing about not making reservations. What works for me is getting my road time in early, like rolling at the crack of dawn. By the time I do all the miles I want to travel for the day it's still close enough to check in time for most hotels there are still rooms available unless there is some local event that has reserved everything well in advance. Then I spend the rest of the day exploring the surrounding area. If it's not impressive I'm ready to do an early start the next day instead of a death march into the dark.

Was not ok morally to take advantage of that young lady . Always be honest with your intentions. If you actually intend to take care of her long term , and it’s what she also wants as a consenting adult then it’s between them . However if you made her hope for marriage just to sleep with her that’s not ok . Just like men do not want to be scammed for money . Be kind

I lived in the Philippines for eight years and saw many foreigners Come and go. This blogger represents the majority of foreigners that give their home country a bad name. the Filipino people and the country are a beautiful God-fearing nation of wonderful, loving, kind, considerate people. Anyone going there to exploit it should be forbidden to stay or return to the wonderful island nation.
@C.A.MARTYN4 ай бұрын
You must always remember that everyone is different, and this blogger has no illwill towards the Philippines people. Traveling men will always come across lonely women, and if two adults keep each other company for a night and both are happy with that decision, then nobody should be complaining about that. Take care out there!!

A don't know how anybody could live full time in Angeles. Fun place for a short visit, but that is about it. Smart move in making your way back to Cebu. So many available cute young working girls at the call centers and other business. Cebu has pockets of nightlife too just ask around. Your favorite hotel by the 'IT Park' is well located there are lots of restaurants and bars there where all the young ladies go after their shift to relax and socialize. Also of course Ayala mall is very nice. Scotty, you had an amazing adventure. You covered so much ground it is amazing. If I ever did something similar I would absolutely want you as my wingman given all the knowledge you have accrued. Technically I would be your wingman I guess haha since you are the man! The only thing is do you not regret stopping more often at various stops to smell the roses and spend a few days there? Seems like your agenda just had you continuously moving on and on and on, you never really get to walk around and check out all these various cities which seems a shame. Plus the babes were into you, but you couldn't do anything about it because you were constantly on the move! That guy who took the 18yo girl has zero ethics. I mean yeah they offered her (with technically no strings attached) but unsaid was they obviously expected him to form a relationship with her. I mean c'mon! The honorable guy who knows he is not sticking around would politely decline *OR* take her out for a fun evening dinner and conversation or whatever and get her contact info and bid her a good night. Who knows what the future will bring.
@tomper22044 ай бұрын
I do not like Ayala mall for one reason, the scammers. If i sit down to look at the beauty outside in the courtyard, I always get some person that sits down beside me and starts with the long story that ends with ," I need money"
