as someone who lives in the philippines and is american i can answer this question " its no ones bussiness" . there is too many judgemental people on social media and also why should anyone share there personal life on youtube ? there is also many filipinas that will think a man is a F-boy if they see hes met more then 1 woman and also make rude judgemental comments which then make other filipinas nervous to meet a man. there is many reasons to keep your personal love life off of social media if you not married to a woman . if you single then nothing wrong with keeping life secret , filipinas are very secretive about there love life . ive lived in the philippines for 14yrs and regular guy is doing the right thing by just focusing on his content and not sharing his love life if he has one or not .

We had our hired help, a Housekeeper and Groundsman involved in an accident that killed trycad riders in separate incidents. What we learned was your liability increases with the worth and status and importsnce of the person you hit or kill. In our workers case the amounts were about 200,000 to 250,000 pesos for restitution but it was bargained down to 70,000 and 100,000 pesos because going to court was going to take a few years to resolve. To save time the amounts were reduced.

Agree with you about Metro Manila. Both times I lived in the Philippines each time time was Makati. It has all the amenities and plenty of new and interesting people to meet. Many of these people work overnight at call centres, so they're ready to meet at 9 am. You can meet others later in the day. Uni students free in the afternoon. Regular-hour workers in the evening. There are also a lot people from Iran, India, China, and, less so, Brazil living in Makati. Many activities such as golf, fencing, martial arts, cooking classes, etc that one may do. For example, you could take video editing classes and improve your workflow. The only problem I think is Makati's real estate is bit expensive for what you get. And you have to work your life around traffic. If you're looking for a recommendation for a Makati barangay, I think Pio del Pilar is good. Not as expensive as living next to Greenbelt, but close enough to walk/taxi to. The airport is close enough and the toll road to/from is right beside the barangay. There's an immigration office near. The Victory Line bus depot is just down the road. Salceda Park and its weekend market. Legazpi Park and Ayala Triangle.

I was your compatriot who kept bugging you to go to Malabalay, but for selfish reasons. I had only been through it on the bus from Davao to CDO and I was really keen on getting more info, so I was hopeful that you would do a video on it and grateful you did. I finally got there myself last January for an overnight stay. I'm married to a Pinay and we have property in both Davao and Samal. We had been to CDO and I found both CDO and Davao to be way too hot and dirty for a Canuck. The views on the drive up the BUDA highway were spectacular, the weather nice and cool, and the air refreshingly clean. The municipal government of Malabalay have done a great job in keeping it clean and the people there obviously have a lot of civic pride to keep it clean. No 2 stroke motorbikes spewing black smoke. They also have a University there, BUKSU (Bukidnon State University) and I love University towns for education , as I'm always studying and ummm... never mind, I'm married. I can buy land anywhere in the Phils because my daughter was born in Bislig and i just put it in her name. She gets everything when i die anyhow, so no loss. I am still thinking of buying a lot in Malabalay because it's still cheap, unlike say Dumaguete, or Valencia, Negros. It has a kind of British Columbia feel to it too. The surrounding region is a favourite for hikers, but I have a hunch the only interest you have in hiking is hiking up skirts. One of the things you perhaps haven't discovered is that having someone you know living in these places to show you around and make introductions is quite important too. You know the old saying "Home is where the heart is". Don't discount the great importance of having clusters of freinds in these places as it really makes a big difference as to what you think of a place and how quickly and thoroughly you settle in. Cheers.

@@ovlov245 Well it's not just Malabalay, but the BUDA (Bukidnon-Davao) highway is all stunning. Nice cool air. As far as cities, there is also Manolo Fortich and Valencia too up in that area. Seems every city has a University. There are probably 80,000 Valencias in the Philippines, so don't get confused. Duterte was really hot on developing the area. As far as negatives, you want to stay on your side of the fence. Just west of there is where the trouble starts with islamic terrorist groups. Scotty got warned when he was tresspassing into their range. You may not. You are also a long way from the ocean and the closest beach is in CDO which, is a badly polluted ... I won't say it. Since west is a no go zone and north is really messed up for pollution, you'd have to go to CDO and then head east, so maybe 4 hours drive before you get decent ocean for swimming.

Scotty: As a longtime scooter/motorbike driver, I have some suggestions: get a bike with the back box, perhaps a smaller one, and one the girl can use as a backrest. You'll appreciate it when you have to carry supplies/gear. Do use a helmet, and one with a faceshield. If not pants and long sleeve shirt, wear elbow and knee pads. You may look like a total geek, but they will help protect you in an accident. I know because I hit a deer in Canada last year, and the gear limited the damage to my body.

Another GREAT vid. You're the MASTER. After listening to so many other v-loggers, it's hands down, you da best. Transparency, . . . I'm 83, single, retired, alone in a Desert South Western town/city, having finally accepted to stay put. ??? Too much hassle to trek to the Phils after considering fer years. Plus, at 83??? The 20 sumthins might agree, but it would be a $ deal with +s & -s. And I'm not a buck-snortin' kinda guy anymore. So, my Id tells my Ego it's OK to keep dreamin, ya know, fer dreamin. But recently, reality bit me, and "I Can See Clearly, Now." I finally realize, I would not be satisfied livin in the P.I. ? Too many adjustments fer me. "You do WHAT?" or "That makes NO sense," or . . . So, I started listing the negatives of me in the P.I. After about a dozen, I stopped. That was enough.😇 Later, Bob (Xavier Koolat)
