This has gotten out of hand as it's like they want to get rid of animation on HBO MAX when Warner Brothers was made for stuff like Looney Tunes in the first place. Like what happened to The Hub when they cancelled every single original animated show that wasn't MLPFIM or Rescue Bots due to the Discovery Family rebrand and I fear that HBO MAX would get rid of animation entirely which I hope that doesn't happen as Cartoon Network itself is doing well as it is also having a very special Labor Day schedule when some old shows return and that those who won't air on HBO MAX will likely be CN exclusive if that happens. I really feel sad for those who worked on Driftwood as I was really looking forward to that and all that hard work and effort put in the film by the writers and animators seemed to have been stopped all because of the merger causing sacrifices because of the Discovery+ merger but not in a good way. They should have axed some Discovery+ originals instead of animated content.

I’m lucky I got to see a little of the hub because I remember watching wayyy less when it changed to discovery network they still had good shows (like the ones you mentioned) but it seems like everything discovery touches gets ruined

This situation just keeps getting worse. Also Warnerbros Discovery has lost 2.39 billion$. Did they deserve it? Yes, absolutely yes, Discovery definitely deserved it and I very much hope this will have a big impact that they'll have no choice but to cancel the stupid merger idea and fire "him" I'm not gonna say his name, cause whenever I say his name, I feel like I'm gonna throw up blood. But all seriousness, I very much hope the CEO of Discovery will be fired cause this merger has caused nothing but problems! There is a life lesson to companies and corporations: 'if something isn't broken, then DON'T FUCK IT UP!' This situation keeps getting worse and it's getting stupidly annoying. Cartoon Network has aired multiple Premiere movies on their channel for past 2 decades so this actually gives me little hope for the Batman and Gumball projects to produce on the channel just like they did with other TV movie events.

The only thing I'm concerned and worried about is the other upcoming CN projects, (Jade Armor, Unicorn: Warriors Eternal, etc.) as well as shows that are still going. (Rick & Morty, Craig of the Creek, and Primal) I don't want Cartoon Network and [adult swim] suffer the same fate as the Hub Network.

Actually, this is... sorta... bad news, but I wouldn't really call it that. At least they said that they won't cancel these films and moving them to other places like Hulu, Netfilx or Tubi. I mean... HBO Max has gotten bland after a while. But I'll agree. Bad news for that cancelled cartoon. :(

CN REAL : was a slap to the face Discovery having control over HBO MAX: is a thanos snap on animated show and it making me cry because HBO MAX was a loop hole for animated shows that didn't fit into CN where jokes and theme can be a bit more out that and darker. where you could take a risk on a show and not be scared of it hurting your review count. HBO MAX could had been a home for animation over the years with how it was going.

HBO Max still continues to kill themselves, thanks to WBD (mainly Discovery). I have never heard of Driftwood until the news broke out about it being canceled. I feel bad for the creators, writers, and people working on the film and now thanks to the Discovery CEO, they’re just getting spit on by him. As for the 6 projects that Warner Bros. Animation and Cartoon Network announced, I’m glad these were safe for now and we’ll just hope if they can find a streaming service that will gain customers like Hulu (in which they showed the 2020 revival of Animaniacs). In fact not so long after, Cartoon Network is even fighting against WBD for all of the decisions that they’ve made for the past weeks. Netflix may have been bad for a couple of weeks, but now WBD is following its footsteps. I swear if they get rid of Looney Tunes Cartoons (2020), I am gonna explode.

Ok Cartoon Network, this is your time to shine again... Take all the cartoon series from HBO Max and put them on the network. And i mean, ALL of them, or at least most of them that they for some reason didn't want to keep on the network in the first place, Infinity Train, Mao Mao, elliot, all of them. And if they can't do that for the "adult animation" series, put them on Adult Swim. OR they could possibly find another streaming service outlet for them. Because obviously they can't be saved from HBO Max. Seriously. This could be the start of CN taking control again. Even though it would be hard, they could do it. If they really care about animation, and they should cause its all they have right now, they need to do this. They could also take this opportunity to continue series they cancelled themselves, (AHEM, Infinity Train) for the future of animation.

My big question is…..why can’t they just put all of CN’s library on 1 streaming service like Boomerang? That way we don’t have to worry about all these shows being all over the place and maybe it would have save most of these shows from being cancelled during the big HBO Max purge. Oh by the way, HBO Max and CN aren’t at fault for all of this…they warned the higher ups at WB not to cancel animations, but WB did it anyway. Max and CN are on our side. Just wanted to clear that up for anyone who was confused.

Cutting down on Live action kids program it kinda makes since it's already declined. it's lastest Live Action Kids Program Gordita Chronicles have flopped despite receiving postitive reviews and was cancelled by HBO Max. It centers a dog named Poochini whose rich owner died and gets adopted by an average American family that treats him like absolute shit and contains very inappropriate jokes and mild cursing for a kids cartoon, and mind you the show has some of the WORST animation I've ever seen.
