@@martinloss4171 I wouldn't say she's a lot like him. I mean, they're both bat sh*t insane! They're very alike in that sense. But I didn't get a strong impression of them having the same flavor of crazy... Petelgeuse had a very particular mannerism of speech and quirky ticks that she didn't really emulate IMO.

I don't read the light novels, so this is purely a guess on my part. But all put my own theory lower down to hide it just in case I'm right and it's actually an unintentional spoiler... The fact she has the same eyes as Emilia and she has the same last name as Betelgeuse Romanee-Conti, and also because of the way they're hiding her looks underneath bandages, I really think this might be Mother Fortuna. Idk how honestly, but that's the only thing I can think of. Either that or maybe Emilia's real biological mother. Because honestly, Mother Fortuna almost feels a little TOO obvious and so maybe it's a red herring. But idk...

cant be emilias real mother since she was a human and sirius has elf ears. her real mother after season 2 is most likely minerva (witch of wrath) from the things we can guess in the anime. sirius = fortuna is indeed the most obvious guess after seeing everything about her which makes it indeed "too easy" we dont know about it in the novels either but there is a pretty good chance that we will know more in the current or following arc :D

@@dirtymightmusic5239 I've watched the series twice now, albeit the 1st time was a long time ago now and I binged it was too fast on rewatch earlier this year. But it's so dense with info, I think I need to go back thru and give it another proper rewatch. I feel dumb but I either completely forgot Emilia's Mom was a human, or that info went right over my head at the time. Makes sense though cuz I do remember Mother Fortuna yelling at Pandora about what she did to her "brother and sister-in-law," thus logically her brother would be an elf like Fortuna, and Emilia is a half-elf meaning her mom would be human... I should've pieced that together sooner lol 😅 I also do remember that weird scene with Emilia and Minerva where Minerva didn't want Emilia to turn around and look at her, but idk why but it just never occurred to me that it might be because Minerva was actually her mother. Like, I remember the witches mentioning Emilia's Mom was a witch, and I think I thought at the time that they were actually referring to Satella. But even that didn't make complete sense to me. Now that you mention that about Minerva though, it makes a lot more sense to me they were probably talking about her lol But yeah, I think I'm gonna need to re-watch again soon, or maybe I'll try picking up the light novels for a new perspective 🤔 lol I'm not usually a fan of Isekai but I love this series! Lol

@@kamikaze.33 dont worry i probably watched the anime like 20 times and spot something new every time. i am up to date with the novels so old details hit different when you rewatch the anime and see some hints ^^ emilia is a half elf. fortuna (full elf) said that her brother is emilias father so he should be a full elf aswell which means her mom must be a full human for half elf to make sense. it was also stated multiple times that emilias mom is a witch so the selection isnt too big. some witches are not humans and from all the witches minerva simply makes the most sense. full human, gentle face, connection to elfs. not to mention the scene between emilia and minerva. rewatch it with the thought that she could be her mother but for some unknown reason she was not able to be at emilias side and help raise her. you will be surprised how different that scene hits. i can highly recommend the novels ^^ i am up to date with the web novel (which is currently in arc 9 compared to arc5 where season 3 started ^^) its great and god damn there will be content. with the current momentum it would take the anime around 10years to catch up which is rough ^^

its heavily implied that Pandora resurrected Fortuna (Emilia's aunt) in s2's flashback to become Sirius after Petelgeuse became archbishop of Sloth. the two loved each other before being taken by the cult and became twisted lovers as archbishops together. you can see her elf ears in the bandages and she has Emilia's purple eyes :)
