What settins would you recommend to get good video in a very dark setting? I just got a GoPro Hero 5 Black a few days ago and I'm pretty disappointed with its performance compared to the cheap action cams I already have. I think I had my settings suitable for my lighting, but maybe not. Pitch black room, black background, 2 Neewer 176 LED lights on the subject (me & drums) at around 20% brightness each I don't have FCP, I use Screenflow 7 Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! 🙏

after test two weeks,here is the setting which i think is perfect for low night iso:100-800 sharpless:low ev:0 clolor:gopro wb:auto shutter:auto bit rate:high but,you still get shake some time,if you want perfect no shake ,you still need a gimbal.

Great tutorial. However, manual exposure overrides your iso and shutter speed choices...

Sir, what video editor you use or you recommend for a newbie like me? Thanks in advance. Do you have a tutorial as well on video editing? Like making a whole video from a partly shoot video and make it looks like movie or something cinematic effect? Thank you again!

Is the stabilization mechanical or digital? If it’s digital, you are probable cropping the sensor and creating more noise, you’re better off using a gimbal.

Why does the difference between 24 and 25 FPS matter?
@motozest78565 жыл бұрын
I have a video about my motovlogging low light test of the Hero 7 Black - I shot it at 24fps, shutter 1/48, ISO 100-800 and Native + Flat. The sound is shitty because I hadn't received my lav mic at the time, but the footage looks pretty good.

come on ppl don't buy action camera to keep their movement at minimum. Go pro need to come up with a fix for low light.
@squirreldemon35064 жыл бұрын
@S Tra they'll have to improve otherwise the smartphone market will eventually surpass it. The new phones have almost a 1 inch sensor whereas GoPro is stuck with the same sensor size since 2014.

I'm thinking of getting the Hero 7, do you think with these settings the low light performance will be even better?
@RehaAlev6 жыл бұрын
In my opinion these are the best settings/workflow for shooting in low light. This being said, the GoPro is not the ideal low-light camera. If low-light is your thing and you want to shoot in the dark often, a 1-inch point and shoot camera will be a better option. If you are into sports and harsh environment, GoPro is your only option.

If you plan on indoor shots or low light forget about the go pro... it sucks way too much noise reduction and blur. Im gonna use mine just for the dash now, its worse than my phone! there is way too much hype about his brand. Its simply poor quality. if you care for your video don't even waste your time looking at this camera. the 5 is better.
