Ebiking is the gateway drug to regular biking for people who haven't ridden in a long time. I love my ebike, but it got me back on my conventional bike as my fitness level started to improve. You can get as much of a workout as you want on an ebike by keeping the assist level dialed back. You just go three times as far, twice as fast, while you get it.

What a super video showing how an e-bike can bring a couple together cycling. I have several traditional bikes and one e-bike. Each has a place in my life and I love them all. I bought the e-bike kind of on a whim. Didn't realize what a blast it was to ride. It can be as much of a work out as a traditional bike or just a chill ride.

I have a Juiced brand bike and love it. I take it 15miles, one way, to work once or twice a week. On the weekends I usually do longer rides around the city at night. It's a massive improvement over a regular bike, in 10 years I think almost all bikes will have some kind of electric motor.

I love my ebike and now I bike to work 3 days or so a week. If it's too hot after work, I can rely on the pedal assist to help get me home without overheating. Plus, I still get to enjoy the nice weather in the mornings! And now I'm interested in a emtb.

I was eyeing Jasmine’s yellow ebike on REI’s website so I was excited to see it in a video with a female rider. And it was shot in Minneapolis, where I was born and raised (I’m living in Seattle now), which was even more exciting! I loved following along on the ride and seeing all of the places I used to go to! Kevin and Jasmine were fun to watch 🚲 I think this video sold me on the Gen e1.1. Now I just have to wait for it to go on sale 😊 Thanks for the great content. It’s helpful for people who love to go out and explore on foot or on a bike.

I bought my 1.1 back in September. They were on sale for $900 and our local utility here in Eugene had a $300 rebate so my wife and I each got one for $600. Mine is yellow, hers is white. I've been cycling around town for 40 years, I'm 72 years old and this bike really makes it much easier for me to ride and has really encouraged me to get out and about. I would check with your local utility to see if they have any kind of a rebate program when you're ready to buy one.

eBikes rock! I have one (Kona Dew-E) to compliment my n+20 bikes and it has a place that fits right in. I would offer the suggestion to get a Class 1 and mid-drive from either Bosch or Shimano. Also get an ebike that is made by a bike company. Kona, Specialized, Cannondale, etc. because they will use lots of standard bike components as opposed to something off Amazon or Rad Power etc.

"So you need the caffeine to keep up with me, huh?" - that's a common misconception about how caffeine works. The sugar, fat and protein in the milk is what actually gives people energy. Caffeine doesn't have calories, it can't give you more energy than you already have, it also absorbs much slower than e.g. sugar. Fun fact, if you use cow milk, the lactose in it would actually make caffeine absorb even slower, which could be a benefit in some situations.

She never used her throttle. That should be factored in. She mentioned an eBay can be used to do short trips without having to work out. That can only be done using your throttle whereas you do not have to pedal at all.

There isn't actually a throttle on this model. It is only a pedal assist, so as you pedal it helps you move

I have this bike. I weigh a bit over 250 pounds. I ride it up 10-12 percent grades in the Sierra foothills where I live, going 8 to 10 MPH pretty easily. It has an 80 newton-meter torque motor. It’s pretty beefy, even though it’s a hub drive.
