Could these be modified for home use? I don't have regular access to a lift machine but would like to try this otherwise great workout. I appreciate how much is doable just with yourself and a mat.

I've been doing it with resistance bands, work great, they are 20 something dollars at Amazon.

Grip strength I suspect although new paddlers tend to grip the paddle too tight especially in rough conditions. Loose grip is best.
