I really appreciate a) that you saved all of the food you made to eat later (so it didn't go to waste), and b) that you told us about it! My standard backpacking breakfast is a 50/50 mix of Muesli and granola with milk powder to taste and packed into a ziplock bag. I sometimes mix it with hot water but mostly use cold. Main meals I usually go with cous-cous or pasta and some tinned meat or jerky (I'm definitely not vegan! :) but I'm not waiting for 20 minutes for rehydration - way too long and besides it will be cold by then! This was awesome, I've been trying to get into pack meals to make camping easier. I had the Pad Thai, and it really screwed with my stomach. Maybe I did it wrong, I don't know. That three sisters, and three amigos meal looks amazing though!
