Yeah, Veep is sort of a spiritual sibling to the British comedy "The Thick of It", which was also made by Armando Iannucci.

Mitch he did make a pilot of the thick of it for the U.S. but it bombed so after a rethink veep was born. I think they are both fantastic and the humour can travel across both sides of the pond

I don’t know who’s brilliant idea to put Charlie Rose on any show. I’ll never forget a horrible interview he did with Christopher Guest on The Charlie Rose Show. I believe Mr. Guest almost called one of Charlie’s questions stupid.
