This was great ,..nice & informative. (You do realize tho’ you had an annoying rhythm track running, out of sync during your explanations right?..) But that commented on,..still was a good job at showing us users the ropes on the JamMan! It is still a fine looper even today! ✨🎛 Got one peeve tho’...It’s really hard to tell just “where” the beginning of a long,..let’s say 16bar loop comes back around!! (Trust me,..I get that accurate on my sessions☝🏾) I’ve got a number of different Loopers and quite proficient on them to go “Live” and enjoy the JamMan on an Acoustic set. What’s your best advice on just how to achieve a clean “distinctive” 1st measure of an intended Loop attempt? I use the SDrum Pedal as well in “JamSync” with the JamMan and pre-record the SDrum too,..so I need to figure out how to identify the beginning to proceed with the Loop creation! This can be a real pain when one is doing an Acoustic Percussion base track first!! (-_- !)> What’s your take of this issue Reid?? 🤔 Dig your reviews!! b(‘ _

Thanks for the heads up on the rouge rhythm track... as far as knowing when a long loop comes back around. This is much help with the jamman pedals, but I really like the display options on the Boss rc-5 and rc-500. They let you visualize where you are on the measure as well as where you are on the overall loop. Here's an example of what I'm talking about. Check out this rc-5 review at 13:52 kzbin.info/www/bejne/aYq2q6SMftJ1jNE

@@ReidsReviews Yeah,..Thanks again for the reply!..You REALLY are a great help so do know that all your efforts are recognized on your channel & very much appreciated ok!👌🏾🙏🏾 I have that Boss RC-10R you also reviewed and 💕 love it! The Rythm sync feature just works for my style of Looping!👍🏾✨🎛🎶🎸...and the Digitech Trio + as well,..they both are not and issue with the lead measure. 🎛👌🏾 If you don’t mind,..there’s another issue on the JamMan that I’d like to ask your input on,..it’s 🤨concern with the “JamSync” using the SDrum. It has issues re-syncing if the tempo has been “bumped” somehow or adjusted while in JamSync use! (So stated in the Manual!) Very hard to re-sync afterwards!...is there a work around⁉️🤔Lately,..I just pre-record the SDrum in the first loop recording..(thus the prior issue discovered)...other than this anyway,..it works fine with JamSync!..👍🏾 Your thoughts?😒❓🎛✨I find the JamMan SoloXT STILL very cool & useful so,.. ☝🏾I desire to master it!,..real cool for Acoustic gigs❗️✨🎛🤘🏾😎

Hello. Thank you for your video. I set up the stop mode to "finish" so that it would stop when the loop ends. Fine. but when i clear the loop to play another song I found that it doesnt stay in that "finish " mode and i have to set it up again. Is that the case with this looper? Do i have to set the stop mode every time I wanna play something new? Thanks again

You have to save it on the preset. Everything that is unsaved is removed when you hit clear.

I bought this pedal a year or 2 ago and I liked it at first, but then I realized a huge problem. When I record a guitar riff on this pedal, and then play my recording so that I can play along with it, you can't even hear the recording. When I'm playing my guitar at the exact same time this pedal is playing one of my recordings, it sounds like crap. Either me playing my guitar gets mudded out, or the recording gets mudded out. Its horrible. I wouldn't recommend this pedal to anyone.

Can you get the original soundtracks back once you have cleared them? Cuz I believe that they had a bass track on it?

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. If you do a factory reset, it is supposed to restore the original 15 loops that came loaded on the JamMan Solo XT.

@@ReidsReviews Thank you so much for getting back to me. how would I go about doing that, getting the factory presets?
@ReidsReviews4 жыл бұрын
Here's an excerpt from the manual (pg 60) on how to do it. You will lose anything you've previously recorded or configured on the pedal when you do this. "To perform the Factory Restore procedure: 1. Press and hold the button and apply power to the JamMan Solo XT. Wait until the display shows Fr, then release. The button LED will now be flashing. 2. Press the button once. The display will now show Fr? (Factory Restore?). 3. To abort this procedure, press the . To confirm the restore procedure, press and hold the button until buS appears in the display. This indicates the JamMan Solo XT is busy performing the restore. Wait for the The JamMan Solo XT to complete the procedure, indicated by loop memory 1 being shown in the display."

I've got one of these and am trying to wrap my head around how to use it compared to my ditto X4. I got this with the hopes that I can pre-record some acoustic rythm tracks at the house to use in songs that have solos... mainly those songs with solos that have underlying chord progressions that aren't anywhere earlier in the song (sweet child of mine is an example). But if I'm wanting to record on the fly to use a part later but not have the loop immediately play back after I finish recording it, am I understanding correctly that I would need to record my part like normal and then TRIPLE tap the pedal to store that loop and remain quiet while I continue to play and then single tap the pedal again to begin playing my loop back while I play over it? I'm not interested in over-dubbing anything at all. I basically just need this pedal to function as my rhythm guitar player while I play lead parts. Edit: I grabbed it second hand and I think that it will probably be just a stop gap solution until TC releases their Ditto+

@m0j0b0ne3 жыл бұрын
Yup, if you don't get the extra three-button footswitch, it's really tricky to use it for live looping. Where this thing really shines is if you use a DAW to build your loops and arrangements and use the Jam Man Solo XT to play them back on the gig, without the DAW and computer. (and you can always add a 'live' layer or two, so every show doesn't sound the same) Solo performance can feel isolated and limiting, so it's nice to have the option to do fuller arrangements while maintaining the ability to shift intros, verses and choruses on the fly.
