good vid again thanks. One request: instead of referring to 'this' while using the mouse to highlight certain areas, could you consider saying what you're referring to in words? Just I've been watching this while I do the ironing, and it's hard to see the screen, so I'm basically listening to the episode more than watching it. Would also help other sight-impaired people.

Usually, the encounter cards provide oil for upgrades so you don't have to put all your eggs in one basket. It's best to place upgrades on the board that gives you three coins on the bottom row action. That way you're reducing the cost of resources to get the three coins and the enlist benefit. I beat the crap out of my spouse by paying $1 for 2 combat cards and then using one of the cards via a resource (Crimea) and each time I did that transaction I got $3 plus a popularity. I kept wondering how to get money because money is usually the highest points when scoring. Crimea and the Agricultural boards are the best to play with - but that's with a 2-player game.

If the upgrade is combined with produce I am forced to do it. If it yields 3 money then well and good otherwise it's a pain in the ass. Also in the above board, deploy doesn't give any money. Worst player board for saxony.
