Whenever a see a comment saying Toni is a badass on guitar I just hope people realise how much of a badass she actually is! I mean, her solos are obviously great, but look at the way she does the bass line with her left thumb while still playing chords with her fingers. Next level stuff

That's the first thing I noticed here. My old box, EKO Ranger 12 (circa 1969) had a fret I could hang my thumb over but I foolishly exchanged it for a Fender acoustic 12 and that was that - now I have to play more regular style of stuff - like a proper guitar player! So, I'm hoping the guitar gods will be kind and let me buy a new Emerald guitar when I should be able to revert to my bad ol' ways.

Yeah me too, he has a great songbook and I'd love to hear more Bromberg covers by my queen and Toni. He is very tall, I am short and when I literally bumped into him at the old Shaboo Inn in CT before his set i looked up to say excuse me to realize it was him he just looked down smiled and may have patted my head. I was a teen and awestruck.

I saw the song title as I was surfing KZbin and thought, “Hm, not the Bromberg song, right? Then I read and start playing it as I discover that you uncovered this gem of a song. As a true lover of David Bromberg and Grateful Dead, I had to try this out. You make this your own without losing the original. Toni’s guitar solo sounds very Bromberg-esque and the banter is very much in line with his music. Yet the presentation is remarkably your own. Keep it up.

I’ve been a big fan of David since the 1970’s, when I used to see him play regularly at The Shaboo Inn, in CT. Thank you for this awesome selection this morning ladies. I so look forward to every Sunday morning’s selection. David recently came back up here for a local High School band benefit with the previous owner of that club. Phenomenal artist, luthier, and one of the funniest musicians…

@@chasbodaniels1744 I was lucky enough to work there, briefly, as a doorman, the door behind the sound booth, and as a regular patron for the last 6yrs it was open. I can't count how many times I've watched this. A timeless song rendered beautifully by soulful masters. A taste of magic that tickled my soul at age fifteen, tantalizing me with the idea of audacious blues with a touch of snark. *He Rules the Spirits that live in the wild and every evening he talks to the stars.* When I was nineteen, caught his performance in Portland, Oregon and his legend seared in my mind. He would Love This. This I know. Such a reverent (and delicious) tribute to an iconic tune..
