I always had a theory that Polarclaw and Scorponock were the decendants of Blaster and Soundwave respectively think about it Soundwave and Blaster have minions that come out of their bodies so do Scorponock and Polarclaw IT JUST MAKES SENSE

I remember when this guy and the polar bear guy came out. My brother got Scorponok and I got the polar bear (forgot his name :( ) The cyber bee and the cyber bat were some of the coolest gimmicks and I think Hasbro turned them into minicons for Armada. well at least thats my theory I really want them to rerelease that polar bear! I saw this at the giant mall of hobby shops a few cities away...loose but complete for $38. Normally retails for $60. Of course I was going to get it along with the SS86 Sweep and Earthrise Smashdown I got for an SSS-themed haul. (If you have ever deigned to watch Chefatron's mall tour videos and the mall he usually takes a drive to, that's the same mall with all them nuts toy stores I got him and my $40 mint Galactic Man Shockwave from) And other than the realistic scorpion mode, thus the fact I can't mod the legs to be bigger, yeah, this is the SUPERIOR Scorponok figure. Better colors, better proportions, intuitive transformation, the inaccurate scorpion face doesn't bug (heh) me as much as the cartoon or the Transform Element's faces do, the Cyber-bee gimmick, since it's working fine, is fun to mess with, I actually like the face more than the toon takes. No regrets getting him over Kingdom.

I will soon gain Reissue Scorponok and Rattrap as my next beast wars characters. Rattrap I got for £10, less than a core class, and Scorponok for £14.49, which is more worth it than 1p for Kingdom Scorponok. Edit: just received them hours ago and I think they're great.

Ok. I love this figure from it being from the 90s but How do I get his Scrapping Cyberbee into the claw because In my Copy, the Cyberbee just LOVES to fire out.. (Edit: Good news! My nephew fixed it via taking out the spring inside the Cyberbee which is useless because the cyberbee just flies out without it via the Abdomen)

Yeah that thing is on a hair trigger, handling that thing at all and it's a huge risk of just launching off. Though I didn't have to go to the drastic measures of removing a spring to achieve it staying on, so your's may have been uniquely even worse about that.

Yea, after a comparison, there is no context, with the acception of the desighn, the OG is WAY better than the Kingdom one. And as for the BW Unicron Trilogy comparison. Don't forget that bouth toylines focused on 2 diffrent objectives. The BW focused it self on making posable figures with realistic beast modes, and view gimics to make it fun. Armada and Energon were more focused on big chunky figures with the focus on minicons/energon addons gimics. And the rest was more or less optinal (plus bringing back OG characters with new look's) And as for the question of the video.. Since were at the topic of toy BW. The question is, from all your childhood BW figures, whitch one is your LEAST favorite and why?

The only one I ever returned was Inferno because my entire family couldn't figure out how to transform him. And then Rampage was terrible with his Treads always snapping. And that's exactly what I'm saying about Armada, it was about simplified Chunky designs, which was going back in design progress.

Scorponok is the only figure from Kingdom that I actively hate, bot mode sucks, alt mode sucks, transformation sucks, the whole thing just sucks. I'll probably get this or the TE, both are miles better than Kingdom.

I will contend that the Unicron trilogy did not set figures back. Not all of it anyway. Armada definitely did tho 💀 and a fair amount of the earlier Energon figures. Cybertron though I think had phenomenal engineering for the time on par with how the Beast Wars figures are marvels for 96. Both lines hold up for me

I think Hasbro decided to lean towards show colors because the Kingdom Scorponok was such a piece of shit. I don't know for sure if negative feedback about the kingdom mold reached them before the production of this reissue, but that's the only reason I can think of. I bought one to mod to go on the Beast Wars show shelf. Really wish #DNA_Design made replacement claws and head for this Anniversary Scorponok. That's where I'm stuck, hoping for Shapeway or 3rd party offerings.

1. Mine also has the janky tail. I think that's just a thing with either the engineering or the way it's packaged. 2. I went through 3 of these as a kid. And they all broke in different ways. Leg pegs breaking off, bee lever snapping, tail just breaking off, the works. I'm curious if other people had durability issues with their's. 3. The new color doesn't bother me as much as I thought it would. 4. I like how the twin missiles fire separately. Like they have different trigger lengths or something.

I can understand why kingdom scorponok gets so much hate, but I actually like it. Not for the base model but once you pop off all the bug legs and mistransform the waist, it makes for a pretty decent representation of the show model.

@@PerspectiveEnd I removed what was on the balljoints, then instead of making his waist flush with his body I made him do that dumb anime hip thrust thing, but it makes him look hunched so I don't mind it. It's not 100% accurate but it's better than what it was
