How do you tell if a rug is handmade. Want to see how you would cut that down for a tapestry or art. Thank you. Love your videos

Great question! Sometimes there will be a tag on the back (I have one from goodwill that says “handmade in India” on the back). Other times, I find it helpful to look at the backside and the edges. Machine made rugs will often have edges that appear stitched or wrapped - whereas handmade ones often have a more woven edge with fringes. And the back of a handmade rug seems to show more of where each fiber was attached - as opposed to machine rugs where the backing is often more coated with less visible individual yarns. I’m no expert and I’m still learning… so I’d love for any rug experts to weigh in here!

3:37 STOP 🛑 RIGHT THERE, Mister. I have been meaning to ask about your class/signet rings. Are/were one of those yours? One your Dad’s? I am at a standstill because I do have my Dad’s the only thing besides a few of Mom and His pictures. My question is did you have it resized? I need to know if I should make it a left index, or right thumb or middle 🦅 finger, or pinky? As I am well aware the pinky and thumb will get more abuse. I don’t want to mess up the crest. Since his job didn’t allow him any rings, as they would have been a safety hazard. Please share all your: are yours familial, and if yours is yours. 😊 Thanks, Daniel I’ll patiently await your advice.

7:52 Okay ✅ once again I want your opinion on my signet ring. My finger has grown, it’s got a delicate emblem. So, in order to keep it from getting destroyed. Do you feel it would be better sized for my right middle finger? Index or pinky to me those two seem to get knocked a lot. What is your thought?

I love the sound and view of the rain while you were in the car. I was born in a tropical country, and now live in California where we don't get much rain (until last year) so when I see and hear rain, it warms my heart. I did like that smaller curio for $55. I thought it had some unique qualities and is a good size.

I lived close to a creek as a child, windows open. Later a small town next to the Ohio River with a new tin roof. Totally 💯% Amazing. With the exception of cleaning up a village afterwards. 🤮 Once again I live close to a river ’much’ smaller yet a tributary to the Ohio River. ♥️ it, always able to smell the long awaited rain 🌧 by the odor of yeast.
