I love Berlin. Been there like 12 times. It reminded me of LA without guns. Lol. There’s places all over Germany or clubs that’s won’t let Americans in. Not cause there racists it’s actually our fault as Americans. Basically soldiers have gone and started fights and ruined it for the rest of us. Not all soldiers just too many. There is one in regensburg the zap they don’t let Americans in but if you keep quiet and mix in with Germans do as they do you can sneak by. Good vid.

I grew up in Berlin and my prime club going age coincided with the fall of the wall and all these clubs opening, among them Berghain. To me it seemed that almost everyday someone commandeered a cool, abandoned location in East Berlin and made a club out of it. So we were really spoiled for choice and since techno, which was in full force then, has never been my thing, I have never been to Berghain either. These days, if it has a long line in front of it, I go somewhere else. No way, I am waiting in line when I have a choice, much too old for that.

I've never heard of this club but if I were in town and someone had tipped me off about the number of times the bounces turn people away, I'd not even go there. Night clubs across the world are notorious for treating people like they're herding cattle and this one seems to the the worst of all. While I'm writing this, I just read an article about Berghain club where people wait for 3 hours before they're turned away (a few do get in). I wonder if the ones who did get in really had the time of their lives... I can guarantee you that many of them walk out thinking that they wasted their time inside as well.

Those clubs simply have no pattern to get in.... they choose randomly and their goal is to have many people waiting outside to get in..you have to be a regular guest (known by the doormen) for not facing such annoying thing....and yes those doormen play god because that´s their instruction and they simply love to divide groups of people..and being once rejected then there is no chance at the same night to get entrance..that´s simply the entry-policy for being an exclusive club...I worked in such a club (not in Berlin but in Vienna) for round about 10 years during my younger years (I´m 47 now and that was a long time ago) and very often during my work I previously had to make an appointment for a certain time with my friends to meet them outside to then wrangle them in into the club as well by saying "Those are my guests" to the doormen ...

@@michaelgrabner8977 Don't try for Berghain as your first techno club. Go to one of the dozens of small ones like Suicide Circus first to get a sense of the vibe, work your way up from there. The regulars don't go to Berghain because it's exclusive, they don't go to feel like part of some snobbish elite - they go to be among their crowd, their music, free to be themselves. The exclusivity protects that space from annoying tourists, prudes in over their head, etc. - it's not an end in itself.
