Pra que dê mais certo, deveria produzir um equipamento pra cada tipo de solo, ou seja virá balanceado de fabrica com compensação de perca por causa da mineralizaçao.

@@fullhalf420 Paysttreak Superfreak informed me that the XP Deus II can only ground grab in multi frequency. The Manticore ground balance can be manually adjusted to make the detector ground positive for greater depth or ground negative for greater sensitivity. If you're in a trashy park you might want to run ground negative to filter out the noise. If you're detecting in mild mineralized soil that is relatively trash free and looking for faint deep targets you can run ground positive. XP Deus II can't do that. Fixed ground balance is typically set to ground positive on detectors that don't have the ability be adjusted.

I do the exact same thing on a couple sites I hunt I dig everything and clean out the ground. Occasionally I'm tired or whatever and will not dig anything over 25 and I'm just looking for Gold but thats about 15 percent of the time. Most the time I like getting everything out of the ground accept maybe large stuff I leave that. But even that sometimes I want it out of the way. I look at gold hunting like dredging for gold. Im there to make sure there is no gold left in the ground basically. I may go to a spot for 2 or 3 months before gold turns up. But I choose the typical places swimming areas and parks and baseball fields.

They all sound and meter about the same here, copper/silver coin range even in all metal. I'm guessing there is a software tailored or pre engineered platform behind the results I'm getting. Jewelry machine or is it prospecting Minelab had in mind? Gotta take it out to the rockpiles and test it. Gonna take a while to figure this one out. Bottlecaps hitting that high does leave the low and mid range cleaner. Wish you luck.

Just got the Xterra Pro a couple days ago, heres what irritates me about it.. this is marketed as a beginner machine. Where do "most" new detectorists go to start?.. a trashy as heck park, yet they ship this with a 12" coil which will do nothing but frustrate a newbie in the trash. In my opinion this machine should have shipped with a coil the size of the coiltek, then someone can move up to a bigger coil when they are ready. Also they have yet again made a detector with a subpar speaker, in the wind the other day it was unusable due to not being able to hear it..that said it is impressive for a beginner machine, I dug some very deep coins with it. Legend is my main machine but the 269$ price piqued my interest on the Minelab. Now if the ML85 headphones were in stock.
@pigeonbloodruby5330

Someone did a XTerra Pro cost breakdown, headphones, smaller coil, etc. You could of bought a Nokta Legend a superior detector for about the same price.
@PaystreakSuperfreak
@PaystreakSuperfreak Жыл бұрын
Having a huge coil on an entry level detector will make a newbie hate the detector and maybe the hobby. Small coils are the very best setup for beginner detectorists. This big coil standard on modern metal detectors is an overlook by the manufacturers. Detectors 10 years ago were sold with small coils. And yes if you want to buy the Xterra with a 5x10 coil and headphones...THE LEGEND IS THE SAME PRICE!!

@@PaystreakSuperfreak 100 percent agree, not sure if it’s oversight or by design knowing that someone will realize they need a smaller coil to park hunt successfully. Not sure if Dilek is reading comments but give the new guy a fighting chance with the new Simplex line..coil options!

This year with the additional machines it is impossible to see the marginal difference between the Legend in quality and the justification for the marginal difference between the price of any to pay over the ($6.30) six hundred and thirty dollars? Maybe if they came out with a metal detector with (1,000) one thousand different tones! lol R O F L

Live videos of the X-Terra Pro show coins reading as iron in all frequencies, air tests from other videos show its limitations of depth are approximately 11 to 12 inches even with the 12 inch coil, but for people at the beach it's still a strong contender for the prise. Using old school Whites machines I found coins from the mid-1700s at no deeper than 9 to 10 inches, so target range depth is not the most important issue for me as a Nokta Simplex and Qwest Q10 Pro user, it's that casino slot machine sound of the Minelab and serious processing delay!. Notice the sounds are heard only after the coil has passed over the target. What I love about the Nokta Simplex is the old school threshold that enables you to find the deepest targets. Nokta plans to update the frequency of the Simplex from 12 to 15 MHz which will totally destroy its depth making the Minelab the leader of the pack, so sad. Any thoughts I'm now cluless lol

This is why I choose to dig bottlecaps out. All machines will reject many masked targets with a bottlecap reject!! All machines will give a bottlecap tone on some deeper pultabs on edge!! There is so many great targets under and around bottlecaps!! The only way to win this bottlecap war...DIG THEM UP!! I have found rings under bottlecaps in live dig videos. IF THERE IS BOTTLECAPS......THERE IS JEWELRY UNDER THOSE CAPS!!!!

O Boy O Boy O Boy (28) twenty-eight different bottle caps with different stages of decomposition and I have a machine with enough different tones to entertain me for the rest of my life to master the sound of the tone! lol Wow! You're kidding me! lol R O F L I will stick with my White's Spectra V3i! Would it be a fair statement the V3i shows multifrequency with the individual freq./kHz on search, pinpoint, and EMI to allow the operator to operate in a range accommodating the one of the possible freq./kHz to hunt in and no other multifrequency even does so much as indicate the freq./kHz that is below the coil? Houdini was the highest noted magician, and he could not have determined all information that is not provided? Just quess! The multifrequency with (5) five freq./kHz does not even provide any information of the freq./kHz? Amazing! So, the operators say my machine is 'chatty'! Imagine that! lol R O F L

I love the White's Spectra V3i, it should be upgraded to the modern standards of VLF detectors, but it's not. What we don't know is the weighting that Minelab has applied to the SMF resonance frequencies. We do know what frequencies the Manticore, XP Deus II and the Equinox series are operating at. We also have a feature called Noise Cancel, which shifts the SMF frequency band up or down to avoid EMI. We also have the ability to find the most offending EMI. The Manticore is also best in class of the VLF detectors to deal with EMI. The people that you see with a chatty Kathy detector don't know how to operate a detector. I'm not address those detecting in an extremely high EMI environment with highly mineralized soil. These are the simultaneously multi frequencies of the Minelab Manticore. Which by the way, has 50% more electromagnetic force than the Equinox series. That equates to between 3/4" to 2" greater depth. Almost all detectors including the V3i have a noise cancel...it is called frequency offset. They all work on the same principal by switching the frequency in very small increments, like 100hz=or tenths of a khz. The older machines like the V3i did not have automatic offsets like the modern machines but they did have manual offsets which accomplished the same task. The V3i was a very stable machine if you knew which ground filters to choose and delay speed to set for the specific conditions. The V3i is WAY WAY more advanced than the Manticore. You take the Manticore with it's 50% more power and challenge it against the 20 year old V3i with the shooter 4x6 coil in a trashy spot, that manticore will go running back to it's cave with it's tail between it's legs. The mixed mode audio that the V3i has to offer is frikn out of this world. The V3i Spectrasound headphones still to this day has the best audio I have ever heard on a metal detector ever. But the V3i is not waterproof, takes heavy batteries, hard to find parts and does not have a lightweight carbon fiber shaft. LONG LIVE WHITES ELECTRONICS!!

@@PaystreakSuperfreak Watch Loren Lemcke last video of his early impressions of the Manticore. I think it's a good video for people to watch to help them decide if the Manticore is suited to their needs and skill level. Minelab is going to release a smaller M8 coil (8.5"x5.5") effective diameter of 7.0". It will further improve the unmasking abilities of the Manticore.
