This is right about the time met Mr.Simmons for the first time.He was kind enough to let me train at his gym,my good friend Donnie D introduced me to Louie-he's a genius.I learned a ton in such a short time,and my numbers reflected this.Westside #1!!!

Ten minutes in to this video and I've seen so many exercises that I've never seen before and variations on those exercises that it makes me feel that I know nothing about lifting.
@tjcogger19744 жыл бұрын
You don't need all these crazy variations unless you're throwing up elite numbers. Just stick to the basics
@juvedoo993 жыл бұрын
@@tjcogger1974 even many elite lifters don’t do all of these variations. West side is just so specific. But you’re right, the basics are more than enough.

In my opinion, you should be doing some of this accesory work. To optimize gains and minimize injury. Theres a good reason why KneesOverTheToes guy does the some of this exercise like the nordic, sled push, and goodmornings.

There was an older guy I used to train with back in the day that ran into Louie at a later APF national meet. This was one after Louie was on the cover of the one magazine showing his tattoos. My buddy said to Louie “I’m sick of seeing you with your shirt off.” Louie replied in his nasal twang voice “Fuck you man”. 😂
