great match.. the younger kichipamu starts out strong but you can feel his concentration wane.. whereas daigo has the experience and staying power. slow and steady wins the race :)

I dont think its necessarily the concentration waning, but more frustration playing against the character of Guile. There was a joke from I believe Combofiend a little after SFV came out when asked to describe each character in one sentence, and he said., "Guile is the character who will make most SF players want to quit playing SF because of his strong defense." The point is, Guile defense is so strong (too strong) that frustration defeats you more than your concentration waning or you getting angry per se. There is a difference. No disrespect to Daigo, but he knows what he is doing when he chose to go with Guile in this game eventually.

Outlaw 2 Would you rather say, play Daigo and a character with literally only 2 moves and they were really predictable to boot. Or, play Tokido and a character that can open you with bajillion moves and mixup? No offence but i'm starting to get a bit tired of hearing someone say Guile is such a boring character. Because those are all he has! He'll be even worse than Ryu if you don't allow him to chug 100 booms per match. And you can say it as much as you want that Guile is cheapass, boring to play with that you can turn your head away at any time. But remember these guys are playing to earn their dough, and they're going to see enough Guile in tournament that will make lesser men bored to death. That's why they need to face them more than ever. It's a great mental preparation thing. ^_^

Gez Fry Experience? If you mean he knew when to use Sonic Boom which was majority of the video then yea I can see how he stay concentrated and reserved but we all know what it really is. That Zangief had to make some good plays to get around Diago strategy.

Joey Diamond, I never said he was boring, I said that his defense is too good. TOO good, meaning I understand he is supposed to have good defense, but if its too good, thats a problem. It takes away the opposing players ability to actually use their tactics. There is a difference between using skill to take away someones offense using a good defensive character, than a character who is so defensive and has such fast recovery off special moves, with reduced charge times, that makes it almost impossible to get in. That is Guile. He can be beat, but it takes a godly amount of hard reads, and that is not fair. You mentioned Tokido. Tokido uses Gouki, who has the second lowest life in the game behind Menat. So even though yes, he does have a crazy move set, he also has very low life, and if you dont execute his moves almost perfectly, you get punished severely. Guile has great balance of ridiculously strong defense, insane recovery, strong anti-air, awesome projectiles, and good damage output. Its not even a fair comparison.

And that's why Daigo's the beast, seriously though Daigo's adaptation is crazy. Most ppl probably would have hung it up after losing 3 straight to a great Zangief player but daigo experience and patience(and some HUGE risks) paid off in the end

I don't know whether or not to stand in awe of Kichipa-mu's raw talent, or be concerned over his sloppy play. At least five missed v-trigger hit confirms, a missed chance to combo into a critical art, and some very puzzling decisions to forgo easy damage are troubling. Easy to say it standing on the sidelines, granted, but this is not the kind of play you see from those at the top. But again, he's so young...ridiculous potential in Kichipa-mu.

Guile and Birdie are a horrible match up for my Zangief. I feel like there's very little I can do if they don't stop spamming. Sometimes I counter a Guile player who thinks he can attack me head first but that's a rare find.

Almost every daigo video same story with people bitching about sonic boom spam etc. I play vega myself and it's very hard to get around guile's booms but that's how he is supposed to be played. In any case you can always stop watching daigo's videos if you don't like the zoning gameplay.

I don't know, Guile's a solely technical character, you can fire fireballs like any other but its in the timing, the tech, all that jazz that differentiates each player from each other. But, yes they do look the same at face value.

Na. Du plays the best Guile. Easily. Better AA, better hit confirms. Uses st.lk unlike any other Guile, finished his combos, and has the best corner pressure of any Guile. Easily.

He has the head butt that neutralizes the booms AND GAINS meter, and his VSkill absorbs booms. Boom spam isn't an issue for gief. Actually it's not an issue for most of the cast bcuz many chars can absorb projectiles. Zoning isn't that strong in sf5
