Hi there, we are Eva & Sean Harrison.
A married couple that has overcome retroactive jealousy, ROCD and general relationship anxiety. Whether you suffer from Retroactive Jealousy, ROCD, Relationship Anxiety or just want some invaluable relationship advice we hope our content helps you.
If you’re an individual or couple suffering with anxiety, confusion, anger, disgust, judgement, intrusive thoughts, trust issues, numbness, uncertainty in your relationship and are trying to keep it together on the outside but are suffering daily on the inside or if you’ve Googled or looked up “Overcoming Retroactive Jealousy”, “Overcoming ROCD”, “Relationship Anxiety symptoms”, “ROCD / Retroactive Jealousy why do the thoughts feel so real?”, “How to stop wishing your partner's past was different”, “How to treat ROCD”, “Intrusive thoughts and compulsions in relationships”, “Feeling doubt/questioning my relationship”, “Cure for Retroactive Jealousy?”, “How to overcome Retroactive Jealousy”, “ROCD / Relationship Anxiety or wrong relationship?”, “Relationship OCD urge to break up”, “ Retroactive Jealousy symptoms”, “ROCD symptoms” you’ve come to the right place.
The people we have worked with have experienced and processed how and why these things showed up in their relationships. As well as how it lead to them having intrusive thoughts, feeling angry, sad, anxious and like they are self sabotaging their relationship.

Sincerely what I have needed answers to for the past 3 months. I find myself in my head saying 'I can' t do this' and then when I think I'm leaving this relationship I realise how wrong it feels and how much I miss the person even though it hasn't happened. Thank you for distinguishing the two. I really rate this video as I'm going through therapy now and I couldn't explain what you have provided the diagnosis to xx

Facts about what you said about the fear of pain causing pain. I don’t trust my partner anymore and I don’t know why. I have done so much to sabotage our connection and he has gotten tired of me too. It’s been hard for me to trust him ever since the start of us because he did something extremely shady and bad to me at the start. This set how I approached the relationship and now he has flipped it on me and I guess me resenting him for that and sticking around was worse than me just leaving him so o get where he is coming from. But he put up a good fight to keep me after that situation so I stayed because I thought his fighting attitude would make me want him. But I never opened up to him again and the entire time I was uncomfortable with him

He also got deported for a while and we are long distance. None of this was my fault and my feelings are valid. My only fault is that I decided to stay with this person. He is right when he says I need to make a choice and stick by that. Do I really want to deal with someone like this forever?

One more thing - I feel extremely wrong in this relationship. I don’t think this is how I’m meant to feel like in a relationship. I have tendencies to feel depressed in relationships but I don’t know why this one is so confusing and what it has come into my life to teach me

I feel like I can relate to this Not only am I in a healthy relationship, but I don’t feel any relationship anxiety when I’m around him. I feel the opposite actually. I feel good around him and secure in our relationship. I feel more relationship anxiety when we’re apart, because it’s easier for me to get in my head with “what if” fear based thoughts of us not working out, because I’ve had previous relationships of mine when I really liked someone but they were clearly not for me lol. And I don’t want a repeat of that. But not only has he proven multiple times he’s for me, whenever I’d have a doubt creep in, it’s always proven wrong.

People who seek out these videos are those who want it confirmed to be relationship anxiety, instead of confronting the feeling. It is like chain smokers going to videos of cigarette companies who are telling them that smoking is not unhealthy lmao

@@overcomingrelationshipanxietyI am saying that people want it to be relationship anxiety instead of having to confront the idea that the person is not the one because of fear of being alone. So they attribute their thoughts to relationship anxiety and self confirm by watching rocd therapists who talk about nothing else. And the same therapists have no other topic typically, convincing those poor people that it could be relationship anxiety even if its not
@MrYogi339
@MrYogi339 5 ай бұрын
@@elisabettajdj335 Anxiety is a real thing. And so is a gut feeling..She explained it very clearly. Sometimes something is just off about someone and you just know it and that's it to me that's a gut feeling.. but the feeling doesn't impact you in any way. It's just something you acknowledge. Anxiety is more crippling there could be nothing wrong with the partner but obsession over "What ifs" and things that havent even happened cause the person to be in pain daily as they obsess over things.. which most people with anxiety do when it comes to making big decisions.On the flip side I think your comment can harm people who really DO just have anxiety and don't know how to calm their minds down when big life decisions arise.
