It was funny how they laughed about Moe saying "you can get married as many times as you want, it's just a piece of paper" but now after watching the video(chanel was called Kuden I believe?) about her previous husband and life before Moto, I understand why she would say that. She mentioned in the video that after her first husband died, she felt like she couldn't get married again, but Moto changed her outlook on life. I'm glad she was able to move on and find happiness with Moto; everyone else has commented this already, but they complete eachother and their personalities compliment each other so well. Thank you so much for leaving this comment here. I’m getting married 2 years from now, and we’re planning to have kids after the first year of marriage. I’d never been serious about marriage because I came from a broken family, but my best friend of 6 years who has always been there for me confessed his feelings and I accepted it after a long thought, not just because of feelings, but also because I know he’d be a good husband & a great father. Being serious about starting a family is also the reason why I subscribed to Kimono Mom’s channel. I’m already afraid of the thought that I’ll be a wife, let alone a parent. I wish you and all the wholesome people here the best of luck, and it’s okay that we’re not perfect. Humans are never perfect, but the fact that we keep trying and not give up is already enough to keep us going in life. Sorry for the rant, everyone! You wondered what Sutan will think watching these videos when she is older. Here is what I think she will think.. She will remember the laughs while cooking. Making birthday cakes with Moto. She will remember never to make mochi from scratch on a hot day. She will remember and appreciate the long trip you made so she could run to Moto at the train station and she will remember how you rushed her under a table during the earthquake to protect her. She will take all of those things and one day, do all of those with a child of her own. She will make you proud

"We all are the main character in our own lives" -but not the world or the universe. I think it's important to keep in mind that eventhough we are the masters of our own ship, the world does not revolve solely on us as an individual and there will always be elements out of our control. As each of us is the protagonist of our own lives, we should not expect others' lives to revolve solely around us and that we should be considerate enough of their lives and happiness as well.

I love how you answered question 2😭 I am about to be 27 next month and I feel like I have accomplished NOTHING in life. I spent most of my 20's taking care of my parents until I moved in with my husband and got married. I still do a LOT for my parents, but I wasn't financially bound to them as I was before, so now that I have the option to do what would make me happy in life I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS!😭 I love my husband, he's so supportive and tells me anything I want to do he believes I can achieve it, but I don't know what that something should be! I don't even know where to start! I feel like I am so behind in the game. i know things you see on social media aren't all 100% real, but I can't help but to compare and contrast myself to people in my age range who has so much more accomplished than me. Like I don't even have a career I love to work in it! That's how behind I feel😞 I wish I can rewind time to when I was 18 and ambitious.

What is rhe problem about be 27? You are just starting life. Every day in this world a 72 years old wake up and realize "Fuck you all. From today I'm starting playing violin!!!!". Everu time I encounter an aged person he/she says to me "just be sure of doing what you want. If you are not sure of what it is.... do things at random. It usually works!!!!"
@gearoidmacruari22922 жыл бұрын
Oh my God! You are only 27! Don’t worry 😉 You will look back at this time in the future and understand that was where you were supposed to be in life and you will feel deeply satisfied that you did your best for your parents. So many of us wait and wait for inspiration and sometimes it comes but most people just kind of stumble into stuff that eventually gives them more satisfaction. Just getting out there and trying things is enough, we may not really like what we are doing MOST of the time but as long as you’re out there doing stuff, one thing leads to another, you may be in one job or role for a very short time and then move to another and that’s ok. You are a kind and caring person, it will all work out for you the way you really want but only when you get yourself out there !

I just recently stumbled upon your channel, due to a friend of mine, still stationed near Kobe, who recommended it. I am a 54 year old, disabled military veteran, who was diagnosed with PTSD, MST and (recently) TBI. I found it completely refreshing that both you and your husband were willing to discuss how things have changed, over the recent decades, about how to help others (and yourselves) try to deal with mental health issues. I know it wasn’t a very long discussion but it was one which has helped me to realize that we now live in a time, where it’s ‘alright to be vulnerable and help each other, instead of keeping it all inside trying to always be strong. I also appreciate that you found a way to deal with your postpartum by making videos on You Tube and sharing bits of your lives, with all the rest of us. Trust me, doing this takes strength many of us don’t really have. It makes me feel that there are others, who go through the same struggles daily and I am not alone. As for c19 ever lifting; don’t know when this will take place or if I will ever return to Japan but when you put out your first cook book, I will be first, in the pre-order line to purchase it. As always; thank for sharing a bit of your world with all of us. Blessings and greetings from Tampa, Florida. 🥰😇

I don't think your advice for the newly engaged couple was bad at all! I totally understand what you mean by building a foundation because the word "marriage" seems like its big. But at the end of the day, its a contractual agreement. What's really important is the bond and relationship between the two people. However, I also loved Moto's advice about sharing beautiful things together! It was actually very endearing to see the difference in your answers. They do say "opposites attract" afterall ahaha Its great to see different perspectives. Thank you for this wonderful Q&A video ❤️❤️❤️

I find it fascinating how sometimes we come to realizations and think a lot inside our heads, but when we are talking we still find points we never thought about and only discover then.

I feel so much of optimism, hope and relief after listening to what you and Moto shared today - as a woman who just got recently divorced (and I've watched the video you shared before on your story), I am starting my life again and watching your video lets me know that everything is going to be alright. Thank you again so much for sharing this, it means so much to me

You guys are soooo funny!! My boyfriend and I see a lot of ourselves in you two. You two are great role models of a couple working together to make a good life together, not just for your child but also as a couple. So nice to see you two laughing and having fun together ❤️

The meet and greet question was interesting and Moto's reaction was wonderful. A lot of vloggers have smaller number meet and greets, something for patreons, or a trip for smaller groups. You have 1.2 million subscribers, many who I am sure would be in Japan. Perhaps to make it doable and to suit both of your food enjoyment, you could have people sign up to a meeting, which can be held in a banquet room, so the numbers can be more manageable. A cookbook by Moe and Sutan would be awesome. What you will leave for Sutan, won't be a cookbook, it will be the amazing way you treat her like a person not a child and your love of her.

My Fridays don't really begin until Tales Along The Way has posted a video. My Sundays are made-up of a ' patch quilt ' of videos from all around the world. Alone ( from Korea ) and Camper Vibes ( from Britain ) are the two musts for it to FEEL like Sunday to me. But Saturday.....Saturday is home to the only video I look forward to: Kimono Mom. So thank you Mo and Moto for taking time out to answer our questions .It has been fascinating.

I have similar view to what you said regarding marriage. I have seen my mother sacrifice herself for family and it made me turn away from that kind of life. I dont want to marry at the expense of myself, i dont think i can live that way. But hearing you speak so fondly of your family, and seeing you happily married made me rethink about it. It made me open up to possibilities I had never thought about. I am happy you found someone who made you want to get married.

It’s amazing to see the two of you are so different in terms of how you answer the questions. I see Moto san as your anchor who keeps everything together. A light house that guides when you are lost at see. Moe san you are very adaptable to things around you and you are also very practical and also a free spirit. You are a perfect match with each other. Thank you for sharing your life with us, your thought, ideas and happiness. Thank you for being a loving space in youtube. Your vlogs help me relax at the same time i learned new things because of your family. I wish your family success, in whatever your hearts put into. Stay healthy, and happy. Much love from the Philippines 🇵🇭.

I loved that you shared your point of view on mental health, even though you didn't have to. I personally think that if someone decides to ask for help regarding mental health above all in a context where doing that is considered a weakness (either in a more visible or subtle way) then I personally think it's a very brave act.
