The reason they’re not shown is because darker skin tones have less acne? I’m asking because I don’t know if that’s true or not. But when I think about it, this is the first time I’ve seen a black person with acne on any acne popping channel.

Honest question: Is there a risk of keloid scarring at each of the blade pricks? Or are the cuts not deep enough? What a disaster that would be if there were lumpy white scars at every slice (!!)

She's stabbing a face repeatedly and squeezing out the contents.. not really something that has to do with skin color.
@annegray975029 күн бұрын
@dantheman6057 Different ethnicities have different types of skin. For example, compared with other groups, African skin can have a larger pore size and increased sebum production and skin surface microflora, a well as greater sensitivity to irritants or allergies. Asian skin may be more sensitive to chemicals in the environment, possibly due to thinner barrier and more sweat glands. A good esthetician takes all this into account for before and after treatments, even if the extractions are basically the same.

It helps when we are aware of cultural aspects that we would normally not even think about, especially when the clients are called “boy” and “girl” even though many of them are adults in the Vietnamese culture. It could get you in unintended trouble if you said it in certain places, especially if you’re American. I’m not trying to be offended, just trying to prevent unintentional offense.

This kid is awesome! I keep thinking how I would have handled this when I was young (yes I was once young ya smart a$$e$). I used to scream like crazy when I got a mere shot at the doctor's office. 💜
@LtRee96seАй бұрын
Mom ensured I didn't make things too difficult at the doctor's office. She was a Registered Nurse and, if she didn't come in with me, she gave me "the look". I learned to bite my hand rather than make any noise. Also, there was one time when I cut my hand, and it required stitches (I think I was 9). The office nurse, who must have weighed 250lbs, lay on top of my body so I couldn't move. I also couldn't breathe. So, when Mom asked me how I was so quiet, I told her what happened. She said that she would always go in with me from then on. All Mom needed to do was say my full name, and I behaved. I passed out at an outdoor concert (my choir class was on the stage), I just fell over, and my forehead hit the back of the piano. Mom was going to take off work early so she could see us perform. Well, I passed out before she got there. My choir director wanted to call an ambulance, but I refused. So he drove me to the nearest hospital, the one that Mom worked at. She got to the event about 10 minutes after I left. When I got to the hospital, the nurses said that they would stitch me up. I refused. I said that they could wait until Mom arrived. It took Mom about 1/2 hour to understand what happened as my classmates were upset and crying. The nurses insisted that I get stitches. Well, the junior high school me wasn't afraid of them. I was terrified that Mom would be mad at me, so I refused all treatment. When Mom arrived, there happened to be a doctor on call that was a surgeon. He stitched me up in no time, and the scar was not visible by the time I went to high school. Why do you care about all this? You don't. I love exchanging stories of bad behavior from when people were kids.

@@LtRee96se - I love these stories!!! I feel so sorry for my mom now. I know I was AWLFUL!!! It was the shots of penicillin when we were sick - now remember this is back in the mid to later 1960s and I was 5-9 yrs of age, but I remember SCREAMING like a banshee!!! 😂 And now needles are nothing. My doctor cured me of my screaming by giving me a good pinch on my behind after the shot was over; Mom standing right beside him. 😂

@@bettybabberl9608 Mom, being a nurse, gave us shots of penicillin regularly when my brother and I grew up. I think she stopped doing this during junior high school for me. Once a year, we got to "enjoy" her care for us. She meant well, but it was literally a pain in the butt. Lord, I miss her.
