The client doesn't speak Vietnamese, only Japanese and English. Thuy doesn't speak either of those languages. The lady with him, his grandmother, translates when needed. I think he has a developmental disability or behavioral issue. Thuy take clients like that.

I think perhaps he is extra sensitive to sensations and having sound keeps him from being able to concentrate on staying in control when he is being poked and hurting. Maybe autistic or some other non typical neurological issue. I know for myself, when I am in pain, hearing other people talking makes it worse.

Great video. The first comment from this young man had me in stitches, hearing the English language surprised me. As a teenager and young adult my pain tolerance was non existent; as I’ve grown older (I’m 50) it has gotten better. So much so, I recently removed a milia from my lower lip on my own. To the young man I would say “Yes it hurts and you can curse all you want however, your mom cares enough to do this for you because she is wise and knows the stigma that goes along with a face full of acne. Be thankful that when it’s all done, you will have a better self confidence.” Also, don’t tell momma to shut up, it’s disrespectful.

@@Monicar628 As I have been an esthetician in the US for over 20 years, I am well aware of that, however, the extractions we do in the US are very superficial and much less therapeutic as we are not allowed to use anything but our fingers and gauze. We can not take any business from the dermatologists. So here it is more or less a luxury treatment with serious cases being handled by the doctors. In Vietnam they partner with dermatologists and these clinics are meant to be a treatment center for these more serious cases of acne.

I can sympathize with the client. He holds his breath and tightens his jaw when he's under stress. Medical teams always have to remind me to breathe so I don't pass out or that taking deep breaths can actually help with anxiety.

Thank you Thuy & this young boy. It shows how painful the extractions can be. The chat with him & his mum shows that she cares about his skin. It's not nice to label anyone who is in pain or having work done on the face. I could imagine how I'd feel seeing a blade come towards me. Thank you to his mum for explaining to him what's next. I didn’t listen to this one the first time I watched it, not until I watched his other one today. I get a very strong feeling he’s on the autism spectrum. If so, he did a fantastic job. That is certainly a lot of overstimulation going on! That would explain him wanting them to stop talking, it’s too much sensory input coming out him at once.

Wow! So strange hearing a client speak English, and have his mother there translating! I'm so used to hearing a language I don't understand, in the background, so it was so odd to suddenly hear someone saying things my brain recognised! He didn't sound like he was having a good time, poor guy! Hope it helps him.

Born to Vietnamese parents who had emigrated to another country ... Has no clue how to speak his parents cultural language. Had he been born and raised in Vietnam, he wouldn't date speak to his mother that way ... In Vietnam, disrespect your mother and you get a snack from your father. Respect is one of the biggest beliefs in Vietnam, along with good health and good fortune. He deserves a smack ....

Thuy you have to give us a few videos in English. I giggled when he said the blood is bleeding....I am sure my second language will sound just like that. It was refreshing to hear English spoken but I am not opposed to learning Vietnamese.

This was an excellent video... Although I do understand 90% of what's being said (still learning Vietnamese)... I still thought his English speaking so he could cuss was hilarious! And no, I don't think for a minute he was being rude by telling mom to hush lol. You try having people talking and giggling with a blade around your eyeballs and see how long it takes you to holler shut up lmao! I don't blame him one bit! His opening comment had me rolling though! "Fck Me!" He said! And "Oh my forehead! The blood, it's bleeding!" Omg lmao! Great video!
