I’m commenting cautiously optimistic. I did the tennis ball move and the 3 basic stretches last night, and woke up feeling 50% improved already. I’ve been back and forth the urologist for what I assumed (and the Dr) was chronic prostititis. Pressure in anus, pressure in perineum, discomfort in testicles. Low PSA, DRE negative, and on and off Bactr for 4 weeks with no relief. Worse when I sit, terrible when I drive, better when walking. If this ends up being a pelvic floor issue that can be fixed with PT, I’m going to feel really silly, but I’m praying it is! I have nearly no ability to stretch my legs open and have always had super tight muscles in that area (no flexibility). This all seems to fit the bill. I’ll be doing these exercises daily now, and will report back with results 🙏🙏

I was doing pelvic floor acupressure wrong, until your video. You provided a great explanation, despite the restrictions around diagrams and picutres of that area. Strange thing is, when i started tennis bsll massage from today, i observed that my breath improved. Not sure if there is any connection between prostrate and our lungs. But i breathe deeply after the massage. Thanks Mam. Love from Bharat. Namaste.

So basically both sides of the prostate? I have cpp that I just started seeing the doctor for and they had me doing pelvic floor stretches. If I put my hand under me when sitting and push in the prostate area it feels like immense relief and most pain disappears. Going to try this.

@@DrEricLeckie I think this would be great for anyone not in as much pain as Im in to keep healthy. I hurt from prostate to tail bone. Six months going to a doctor and wanted me to have an internal hemorrhoid removed. week and half ago he send me to a specialist and they tell me it was cpp and not the hemorrhoid. Long story short what feels great is pushing with two fingers firmly in the pain full areas and holding. Such a relief. Also doing pelvic floor stretches, and some do alot more than other. Got four that give me relief. I get this week feeling in that area that feels good that I can only describe as nerve ending waking up that might have been asleep. Havnt had my next visit with the doc yet so not sure if this is accurate but am thankful for the fast (six months) diagnosis as Ive read the horror stories of men in pain for ten yrs and I cant imagine. Keep making people aware of how to stay healthy.

I don't have a prostate problem, but if there is some value in this I guess it would be good to start before an issue. HOWEVER, what is the massaging doing? Let me see if I can ask this correctly. Is it tenderising or in some sense loosening up an area that over time tightens, does it push clogged blood flow, or collagen or some body fluids that gathered there and distributes it again? Does it force some sort of product that hardened over time?

Technically it sends feedback to the brain to send inhibitory signals down to the muscle being "overstimulated" resulting in relaxation. With that said, there's not a lot of great research to explain the mechanism behind massage and trigger point therapy

Deep squat is just superior. All gravity pulling it down makes stretching pelvic floor much easier with deep belly breathing.

You said that exercise increases the possibility of tension in the pelvic floor muscles, so what are these exercises to avoid? Secondly, is the distance between the sitting bone and the anus sufficient for a tennis ball to sink into these muscles, or do we move the ball forward towards the front of the body?

Yes exactly however you do not have to avoid any exercises. Tension and stiffness is a byproduct of exercises and not to be feared. It's just that you might have to add in a few stretches if your pelvic floor muscles are starting to tighten. Like a car, the more you drive it, the oil changes it will need. The more exercises you do, the more release and stretching you'll need. I hope that made sense? Yes, the distance is sufficient. You can try rolling the ball both backward and forward while in this position as well. You really can't go wrong

No it's not the same effect. On a bike it's a sustained posture driving up into the perineum area. Very different from a brief truigger point release with a tennis ball.
