I hate how every game, including destiny, has a completely different feel to it once you become experienced, once you start to focus on getting the best weapons, armor, any items in general.. Amen to that. :/ I'm a New Light player. As a story-focused player, when I began my journey in Destiny 2 (and Destiny in general), I was amazed by everything. The ruins of the EDZ, the majestic buildings of Mercury, the gigantic waves on Titan, the terraformation of Nexus, the pure "SF fantasy magic" vibe coming from the Dreaming City... Now, after almost 1 000 hours and especially that awful Season of the Worthless, I'm just "COME ON, RANDOM MATCHMADE PEOPLE, MOVE FASTER, WE HAVE A STRIKE TO COMPLETE AND MY BOUNTIES EXPIRE IN ONE HOUR" (sort of... XD)
@kylenader72764 жыл бұрын
PL Coudercy I understand, I’ve playing since house of wolves in d1 and I think New Light is horrible, cuz all it is is a checklist of quests to go which is not good for a new player, horrible also the story wtf, the cosmodrome and then u have to go to each planet and play the story. Just out of tact
@PLBiohazard4 жыл бұрын
@@kylenader7276 Ooooh yeah. The New Light player experience....... Don't start me on that, mate. XD . You know, I was thinking about something. It could be a stupid idea, I dunno... :/ . If Bungie desperately needs to free up space because the game is becoming too thick... Why not taking the campaigns The Red War + Curse of Osiris + Warmind + maybe Forsaken (since the Fall expansion is coming soon - and the Pyramid ship plotline really doesn't come back until Shadowkeep)... and pack them as a standalone solo offline game, as a free-to-play and story-driven FPS, outside of the main content of Destiny 2 ? . >>> With the exception of Forsaken right now, all the content of the first campaigns is already available for free on Steam anyway ! Problem is : it does take a huge load of space. And space is an issue for Bungie, at the moment. So, my solution would be : take that free content out, add Forsaken to the package, make it a big solo offline standalone game on Steam... and promote it as THE entry point for new players ! "Hello new players and welcome to Destiny ! If you want an coherent narrative experience, we recommend you to try the free-to-play "Destiny 2 : Archives" before buying the main current game (which would start from the Shadowkeep expansion) and join the other players !" . Gameplay-wise, all the gear, achievements and Light levels you acquired during the "D2 : Archives" will be kept and transferred to your new account on the "current D2" game (thanks to the Steam cloud save storage). The heroic story missions available through the Vanguard node will also be tied to the D2 : Archives (they can be done solo). . I might be missing something... but I think it could solve some issues, no ? :/ . Including the problem that New Light players (including me, when I began) don't understand SHIT about who is who, and the hell what is going on, when they're dropped in the Tower. (Also, a remastered D1 added to the concept of "Destiny Archives" would be amazing... I never got to experience the story of D1)

Not so popular opinion: I thought the Destiny 2 campaign, though seemingly rushed, was a beautiful experience of our godlike guardian being dethroned and our city falling. The concept of losing all we try to protect takes balls to even try, much less execute well. All I know is when that music kicks in and I got my light back, I feel like I'm both weak and unstoppable. A perfect symmetry.

I just appreciate music that tries to convey a feeling, an emotion, it is what destiny is built on it’s exact emotion in any given time if it’s sadness over the loss of cayde 6 ( RIP) or the fear of losing the light, our ghost, The life we were given, the lesson to learn is that you will never truly die you will live on no matter what force the darkness will throw at you life is fleeting just as the line between light and darkness is so very thin you will live on through death. Search your feelings, you know this to be true, thanks Bungie for everything

IMO Destiny has very boring story telling and themes. In my six years of the franchise, I never once felt like there were any risks. In the end, they're is always a hub world to collect bounties, and a crucible for guardians to train.

The concept of guardians being these basically immortal beings is what removes the stakes. You can make that concept work and keep the lore intact, but we needed to have something that consistently poses a threat to us. The Darkness could have been that, it should have already been here from the beginning as something that can end a guardian's life, but we're only now introducing that with the pyramid ships or whatever

Halo's is iconic, but D2 has more depth and variety of compositions. I'll have them both thank you very much 😊

@@carlos-zy7vx Indeed, they both use similar elements but some songs in D2 are way better than other songs in D1. For example, Journey (Feat. Kronos Quartet)
