Hi all, so I relaxed my daughter’s natural thick 4C hair after she went back natural four years ago, yes this is just 4 years of growth. My daughter is in secondary school and this is what she wants so am supporting her.

Her hair is still gorgeous and thick, you didn’t over process the relaxer so her hair should retain its integrity despite being processed chemically.

Some ppl like relaxed hair with texture, there’s no rule that it has to be bone straight. Box relaxers aren’t even supposed to make ur hair bone straight

Looks beautiful 😻 my daughter as well is at that age that she wants to experiment with her hair . I’m really considering relaxing her hair too . She has 4c hair and it’s really thick !! We usually do braids for easy get up n go . She’s getting tired of those looks . 😂 Great job !

I did this exact same thing and my daughter's hair looked just like hers it was still thick and I thought I messed up i just didn't flat iron it yet

It’s good when it still have a bit of body and texture to it as don’t want to over processed the hair and make it weak. You don’t even need to flat iron it you can just blow dry it with a comb attachment on it and will come out really lovely, that’s what I do for my daughter as she’s scared of the flat iron 😂😂. You touched the bottles with hands full of relaxer. Didn't wash it off (cause its still on the bottle). Then after washing her hair, touched the bottles again and touched her clean hair. Little mistakes like that will cause breakage down the line.

Ma'am you did a good job do not take her to a salon to get her hair done you doing a wonderful job as a mother let me tell you something your hand is better for your daughter if her hair could be if you take us to her twist alone you know her hair might become shorter so you continue doing a wonderful job sometime use food like cucumber tomato carrots just make it as a pace that's what I used to put in my hair when I had a problem how did you get there food food is the best condition for her

OK. I'll say it. she used way too many products after she rinsed out the relaxer. That's why its stiff and it looks dull. Next time Sis, not so many oils and serums. Choose the best one and stick with that one. Yes natural hair needs all those products but a relaxer does not. When making the transition from natural to relaxed, train your mind to use less products. Relaxed hair cannot withhold a lot of product.

Won’t say it was dull x, but yes I agree I did used too much products at the end lol as I felt is and saw how stiff it got, that’s why if you watch my update videos on her hair I didn’t use as much xx. Thank you for your honesty and support ❤️😊

Hello her natural hair and relaxed looks beautiful. But maybe if her hair is coarse hair it might not get too damaged. Generally speaking when you do her relaxed touch ups only put the relaxer on the new growth. Don't overlap the hair relaxer on previously relaxed hair. People are ruining their hair by overlapping their relaxers during relaxed touch ups. Good luck with her hair relaxers.

You know there are people who know how to relax their hair in the front or in the back first then later the other portion of hair so to keep you from over processing the hair by leaving the relaxer in too long.
