Relaxing walk with my dog through an old growth forest on Vancouver Island. Quiet crunching along the rustic path and gentle tingling of the dog's bear bell.

Years ago, I used to skip school about every other week when the weather was decent to go on hikes in woods like this. It rejuvenated me! Love it!

I used to walk in the forest all the time but now that I live in the desert, it's a bit more open. And no lovely birds singing. So although I appreciate the varied cactus, the lizards, and the hawks, thank you for this.

Thanks for a really relaxing walk through those beautiful trails. Those enormous ferns sure look healthy. I loved the perfect stillness of the water on this day. What a good dog you have, too.

Peaceful and quiet, I like the bell, it makes me feel better for your safety. I used to ride a horse on trails like this, when hunters were about I would loudly sing.

Great place for a walk, ty. How long has this forest been untouched? It reminds me of the foresst I visited 70 years ago and I ask because now Denmark has plans for tiny areas of untouched forests, I just wonder how long it will take before they look like this ..

oy....I did not realize you were on Vancouver Island!! (Discovered you only recently and am 108% hooked...I'm in Calgary for now, but hunger for the west coast, especially when I see videos like this one...those trees, those beautiful unpaved, root filled paths!... Have you walked through Cathedral Grove north on the island? To me, that is Paradise Found. Just happy to know you are a fellow Canadian (and such a wise, lovely one too!) Wishing you the very best :-)

Spent time in bear country.Bears do not fear bells in Glacier or Selkirks.Have you thought about an air b and b for your subscribers to visit,?

I think the bells are more for alerting a bear giving it tme to leave rather than scaring them.
