"Hey, I'm an adult!" - I was playing in a WotC Star Wars minis tournament, a decade and a half ago or so, when I looked around me at the other 5 players and had an odd, "Huh," moment. Only 1 player was a teenager, one of the other player's nephew. Between the remaining 5 players we had one business owner, an accountant, 2 lawyers, and a police officer. Just a weird moment I remember while playing this game. =)

The best tabletop game I've ever played! I can't believe it's been 10 years since the discontinued it, I still think about this game twice a day and wish that it was still around. Virtual sets don't count; they are SUPER unbalanced.

Still proud of the Rancor piece i have, as well as the sith lords and jedi i managed to collect when i was younger and it was discountinued. Only 26 now, but ugh the memories. ;-;

I'm assuming during some form of active service? In which case, for one, thank you for that service, and secondly, that really warms my heart to hear about an experience like that, due to how difficult and tough the situations have and may have been over there.

I prefer Legion and IA myself, but I do have very fond memories of this game, and there is something to be said about the ease of set-up this game has between it's simplicity and few essential components (minis, stat cards, map, a single d20). I remember really loving the rodian black sun vigo for fringe reserves and the mandalorian gunslingers with a captain for double/twin

Line of Sight in this game could more easily be summarized in this way (IF you are familiar with LOS in Imperial Assault); If you can draw the LOS the Imperial Assault way, you have an out-of-cover shot. If you can only draw one un-obstructed line (and it isn't along a wall), instead of the two open lines, then your target has cover.

Had a sizable collection back in 2012. Gave them all to charity when I got married. 10 years later I’m slowly rebuilding my collection, much harder now that booster packs aren’t available!

Hmmm I've got a 5,000 piece set looking for a new home, all the VR, R, UC 2-6 of each and C 10 of each except RS Ewoks got 50 of those, plus I started designing a campaign system for battles..

I remember my favorite wat to play was called "dynamic duos" you get to pick two heroes and you can play with like 4 or more people. The people sitting next to you are your allies and everyone else is your enemy. It leads to situations where everyones allies are trying to kill each other.

Although this is a year since your video, I enjoyed your game and still enjoy SWM overall. It is the one game I have the most minis at over 900. I also have SWIA and SWL and despite the "broken" aspects of SWM I still prefer it, especially since all the abilities are on one card, not multiple upgrades like the other games. Also it uses a simple one 20sided die and not a bunch of colored die that is too much IMHO. I found the rules simple enough to learn and use. The concept of hiding somewhere after gaining more points than the opponent is a cowards choice, even if the game allowed it. Creating objective based missions does balance that to some extent.

@@teamcovenant West End Games' Star Wars RPG was one of my big allowance draws in the 80' and 90's. What was cool about the minis game was that it used a lot of the same terminology and you could easily port your RPG characters over to the minis rules. In fact, some of the published scenarios/modules/adventures for the RPG had combat scenes with dual-compatible rules for using the minis rules to resolve if desired. So you could be playing your RPG, then once "Initiative" was called, switch to the minis game for resolution. Pretty neat. (They had the same thing with Star Warriors and resolving starfighter/space battles). =)

@@GrayArmyGaming Yes X-Wing, Y-Wing, A-Wing, and B-Wing models for the Rebels, plus capitol ships and The Millennium Falcon, Outrider, etc. They also have "Ace" versions of each fighter as well which represent a better pilot and have a slightly different color scheme. Also Luke in his X-Wing.
