I don’t think it’s stressed enough how important it is to make shure your hips and glutes are stretched out and loosened . If you have tight glutes and hips everything next to it gets tight such as groin and lower back along with upper part of legs , then it keeps spreading throughput the entire body so from your lower back up through your entire back to the upper back and shoulders and from your upper legs all the way down to the feet and ankles . It littery starts a chain reaction !

I have come to this realization as well. Turns out my sciatica nerve pain that chiropractors have said I had from a herniated disc pressing on the nerve ended up being VERY SEVERE NEGLECTED TRIGGER POINTS. I really broke up the muscle fibers and tendon with a ball today omg feels so painful but I can feel how tight it was and feels so much better

I do this this various sized and hardness balls, from a tennis ball up to a softball. I like to put the ball inside a sock so I can hold the sock end for precise control and so I don't drop the ball.

Hello. Since psoas is one of the deep muscles that when tight can cause back pain. Whats the best way to release the psoas. Stretching doesn’t really get in there as all make it sound to be.

What is the brand name of your posture ball? I have one that is hard as a rock and not smooth. I want one that has a little give, like yours.

Can tight/sore glute medius cause tingling down leg?
@psoasbodywork10 ай бұрын
Yes! A tight glute medius is one of the issues that can contribute to tingling down the leg.

@@psoasbodywork My gluteus medius is very tender to touch and when I use a lacrosse ball, it hurts even more and causes tingling down leg. I'm not putting too much pressure but just enough to feel a release. It's been chronic for quite some time and am doing PT for piriformis syndrome. Perhaps you can share some insight? Thanks in advance!
@psoasbodywork10 ай бұрын
@@SunGoddes113 It's hard to say... very often piriformis syndrome is caused by the piriformis muscle doing the work of weak gluteus muscles. Your gluteus medius may be tender from the PT strengthening exercises, or there may be a different issue contributing to the g. medius tenderness which is in turn contributing to the piriformis syndrome.

Cool. Is this like a little massage therapy?
@psoasbodywork5 жыл бұрын
It's a lot the same principles! There are benefits with massage to letting someone to the work for you (your body is able to easily relax and respond to the stimulation) but doing exercises like this are still an awesome way to support myofascial release.
