Roosters in the background is a plus to the video. Great tool pouch set up. Good video. I started making videos about 4 months ago. It’s amazing on how much time it takes to produce quality content such as this. Thanks for posting.

Very well-rounded and efficient setup. I have a similar setup. Only things missing from yours is a small tape measure, magnetizer/demagnetizer and maybe a mini level. I'm not sure if I missed it, but I also didn't see a thermostat screwdriver.
@ReliableHVACR2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I'm looking to get a mini level I can clip to the front. And my magnetizer and measuring tape just stay by my side door, don't use em all the time. The klein 14in1 has precision tips

@@ReliableHVACR Just get one of those inexpensive, Orange, plastic torpedo levels for 2 or 3 bucks at Harbor Freight. They will slide into the 'belt loop' part of the TP that isn't used if you're using a shoulder strap - that's where I keep mine. Easy to find if you drop it, less likely to damage a customers floor than a solid metal one if you're changing out a t-stat over tile or wood flooring, and if you lose it they're just a few bucks.

Really interesting video...With regards the cordless screwdriver, I assume it's 3.6v? Do you find it has enough grunt to crack/break screws and free bolts off panels ect?
@ReliableHVACR Жыл бұрын
It's very weak compared to a drill but you can turn it manually, so worst case is I jerk it and break the screw free beforehand

BRO! Love your vids and sick loadout! How do you like that little Klien thermal imager?? I've been on the fence about buying that lil guy! You think a Residental/Light Commercial service technician would have a use for something like that?
@ReliableHVACR2 жыл бұрын
Thanks 🙌🏽 it's priced pretty well and the size is why I keep it in my bag. If you want something better quality for a just a little more cash check out Hikmicro, I have a video on that too. It's beneficial if you're looking around the home and want to show the homeowner issues with their insulation and heat infiltration/leakage. Good to take a look at contactors/disconnects for overheating wires bad connections.

I love my Klein, Knipex, and Milwaukee stuff, but totally don't blame you (especially when replacing stolen stuff) with the Harbor Freight version. Crazy that we have THOUSANDS of dollars worth of tools in our van to do our job....and AT LEAST hundreds in our bags out on the jobsite that can just 'walk off' I'm always paranoid about it, would honestly just go with the Bauer stuff or Hercules power tools if I had to start from scratch or start over again - easier warranty than Milwaukee, cheaper, and the Harbor Freight where I'm at is LITERALLY around the block from our shop.

So you went from working in HVAC to finding a wife, have children and become a stay at home Dad, living in a 1.3 million dollar home, and you want to whine about having to work in the winter, summer, then flip over and admit to being a drunk basically (since all techs are drunks and you aren't wrong as I am in recovery), Salesmen who can sell a ton of equipment is their job. Do I agree with it no, but if the sale was necessary and no dishonesty was used, I have no problem with high energy skilled sales people. Would you rather the customer buy from a reputable dealer that will be here for warranty or buy from the thieves that take their money and never return to do the work? You must live in California or Colorado to be rocking a 1.3 million dollar home and sitting on your ass. Do you gossip with the Karen's picking up the kids from the bus stop too?

I have the set that just comes with the standard 3 nut drivers (1/4, 5/16, 3/8) and they've held up really well. Used to occasionally use them like a punch to get motor shafts out of hubs and they didn't break, get damaged, or have the magnet come out.
