Basically it states that being indifferent to someone else's sin is a sin on it's own. So a lot of peopel like this don't really go out and preach because they care about strangers going to hell, they are afraid of going to hell themselves for "not trying to prevent others from sinning".

As a Christian myself, I’m glad the old man said something. I wouldn’t want someone preaching at me in a cramped space where I can’t choose to leave. The guy preaching should have kept it to himself and done it on a street corner like that lady said. I’m all for helping people but preaching at people and trying to get people to convert is a part of the faith that I choose not to participate in. I like what Elvis said, if they want to seek it out they’ll do it themselves. And he’s right. All that we have to do is just treat people like they’re people. No religion or preaching needed.
